The Rockets are still fine if they go the sign and trade route. They would only have like $3m left to work with and would desperately need a backup wing and center though. Trading DMo and/or Jones would help some though.

But cap space for whom? Who is out there that they would want?
Deng
Bledsoe
Stephenson
Gasol
There are a ton of other solid free agents out there. They don't have to swing for the fences, they could instead look to fill out the roster by spending $16m on role players and then match Parsons' offer sheet. The Rockets have been rumored to like just about every free agent out there, so it wouldn't shock me to see Morey work quickly.

FML
And no mention of OKC now? Double FML.

thank god the pelicans' window for championship contention opens a few years down the road and stays open longer still, because if pau gasol ends up with the spurs, ain't nobody else winning a title anytime soon

if bosh goes to Houston, and the thunder are unable to sign gasol, they are in trouble imo

Man, who can realistically compete for a title next year in the West?
- San Antonio (and if they get Gasol, everyone else can forget about it)
- Houston (if they get Bosh and retain Parsons)
- Oklahoma City (if they get Gasol, or if Gasol ends up not being on a contender)
Anyone else? My other picks for the playoffs are the LA Clippers, and then a grab bag of Golden State, Portland, Memphis, New Orleans, Phoenix and Dallas. The Clippers are above the rest, but I don't think any of the first three teams has much to worry about with them, and unless there's a specific match-up that breaks the other way (see Dallas nearly upsetting San Antonio and Portland upsetting Houston), none of the others should really scare those three either.
I wish we could do away with the conferences and keep the divisions. I feel like any of the 10 teams up there in the West could win/be a threat to win the East, but two of them won't make the playoffs and seven of them don't have a great shot at winning the conference against the other three, IMO.

Did Parsons really sign his offer sheet at a club? Liking this guy even more now

Dallas. Nearly upset San Antonio and if Houston doesn't match, will be upgrading with Chandler and Parsons (Teehee)

Windhorst was on Mike and Mike this morning. Said the fact that Lebron isn't meeting face to face with Cle could be telling. Said he couldn't imagine him going home w/o meeting with Gilbert first

Unless he already did and his return has been in play for a while
I just can't see him sticking with Bosh and mainly Wade when they are asking for that much money.

I hope LeBron leaves for Cleveland but I think he stays in Miami and signs a 1-2 year max deal.
It is crazy that Bosh would pass on this contract in Houston to play with Lebron.

Not to mention a new coach that's from Euroleague and a new GM. LeBron is looking at signing a 2 year deal meaning he only cares about the next 2 years right now. Cleveland doesn't give him the best chance at titles in the next 2 years.

Does Miami though? Granger, McBob, Wade's knees aint blowing my skirt up. LeBron will have to play 38MPG again when he should be easing into Duncan style reduced minutes.
I'm not really into the hysteria about his "redemption." What is the best place to win now? Should he care about the mercenary tag?

4 straight trips to the finals, already gotten over the chemistry/growing pains/role issues. It's a The Devil You Know situation.

Miami won't be winning a championship any time soon, especially with all the great moves Riley has done to enhance the team around LeBron

Cuban has won free agency so far
