It’s an expensive deal but I don’t hate it. Horford fits well with Bagley and will seriously ramp up their team D. Warriors made a pre emptive move like this for Iggy and it turned out fantastic, but he was younger. If you wait too long the young core eats up your cap and you can’t make moves like this but I just don’t know what Horford will be like in three years when they might be really ready to win

Beverly is getting offers in the 3 year 45-50 million range and this fool thinks he’ll take 30-40% less to pay for the Lakers lol.

Russell is getting a 4 year 140 million offer to play with the TWolves but yeah he’ll take a $10 million a year paycut to play for the team that told him to frick off two years ago.

EuroLeague forward/center Nicolo Melli is finalizing a two-year free-agent deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, sources told ESPN.

Melli, 28, was the EuroLeague Finals' top scorer for Fenerbahce in Turkey last season. He has turned down NBA offers in the past, but he decided to make the leap from Europe after two seasons in the Turkish League.

Melli, 6-foot-9 and 235 pounds, joins a Pelicans roster that offers the opportunity for frontcourt minutes.

After turning professional in 2007, the Italian big man has played in Italy, Germany and Turkey.

Didn’t Beverley come out basically begging for 3/45. I haven’t seen reports of anyone actually offering that much though..

And is Russell even eligible for the 140 mill max? Thought at his age his max could only be 27 per year or at least the first year.

@sam_amick Despite the Kings' significant interest in Al Horford and plans to make a massive offer, a source tells @TheAthletic that they are under the impression he's likely heading elsewhere.

Ouch. That’s a shame. Kings essentially throw the bank and still aren’t serious players apparently.

Russell is not good enough. Being an all star In the east and the west is not the same thing. Remember jrue holiday was an east all star many moons ago, but hasn’t been close to being one in the west...

I don’t have any problem with the pels never have. I have only had an issue when they were being blatantly overrated here. I am gonna get a partial season ticket package this season. They have some fun guys to watch....

How do you feel about Jimmy Butler not making the all star game last year after moving from the west to the east. He’s not all star caliber as well I assume?

WBB, Kevin love wasn’t an all star in the easier east until after Cleveland won a championship.

So who was the 3rd star player in Cleveland in 2016?

Kevin O'Connor @KevinOConnorNBA There are some league executives that believe the "mystery team" for Al Horford is...the Boston Celtics.
But keeping Horford's rights would require a number of complicated maneuvers, including a double sign-and-trade involving Kemba Walker and Terry Rozier. It wouldn't be easy.

He was traded mid-season clown. Don’t bring that intellectually dishonest stuff around here.

It was still a trade that occurred early in the season

Why is that relevant? NBA coaches decided his value was less bc he got traded?

Also he was traded in early November. Aka not even one month into the NBA season
