I know Boogie looked like shite in the Finals coming back from the torn quad but I’m really interested to see how he looks with an entire summer to actually train instead of rehab.

It's a low risk, high potential reward scenario for the Lakers. Boogie didn't look recovered at all in the Finals. I've seen peg-legged sailors with more vertical lift.

He really did look like he was recovering from the achilles until the quad. If the way he looked in the Finals was the unrecovered quad, he could actually be good next year.

If the achilles/quad really hobbles him long term, the Lakers lost a year and 3.5 mil. It's low commitment.

Yep I completely agree. Big if but if the Lakers can keep Boogie relatively healthy and he’s anything like what he used to be, they’re going to have a big advantage in the front court over just about every other team.

If he sucks or shows his arse, so what? It’s not like they invested a lot in him. The Lakers weren’t going to find anyone else with as much upside for 1 year/$3.5MM imo

the hope is you put him out with the 2nd group and hopefully let him go to work as the focal point of the offense against lesser players

Rockets beat them in round 2

Clippers beat Rockets in WCF

Russ and Jimmy Butler on the heat beat the Clips in the finals

ain’t nobody beating Houston this year. The only team that coulda beat them the last two years is the most stacked team of all time. And CC give them all they can handle. Houston will win the title this year and make it look so relatively easy that people will downplay the strength of the competition.

I am running a special today. I can put 500 on if you wanna take the clips and I take CC. Clips are good. But nowhere near the GSW team that has been the only thing in CC way the last 2.

Boom, I like CC this year. They did a lot by not doing anything at all. Run it back

Yep, they didn’t have to make any moves. Once we knew Kevin was gone it was def a runitback offseason. #1 net rating after the break. Top 3 offense and defense. Absolute powerhouse.

I'd think Houston has about a 0% chance to beat the Clips.

The Clips are a terrible matchup for the Rockets bc the Rockets entire offense is Harden. The Clips have two lockdown defenders in Kawhi and PG to throw at Harden. The Clips set up to defend the Rockets better than any other team.

Also, Harden probably will have to defend either PG or Kawhi, and that won't help his gas tank.
