No way LeBron wants JR after that finals blunder.
No way, right???

I would live it if JR Smith is playing an integral part for you guys next year. High Comedy. Especially if the deal is for more than a year.

Meh. What is JR Smith? Its hard to tell from last year obviously. But historically hes an elite perimeter shooter who is competent at using off ball screens and plays mediocre but not terrible defense.
Is that a flawed player? Yes. But is that a player who should make more than the minimum? Absolutely. I'd be interested if we can get him for that as we just absolutely need guys who will take less than they can get elsewhere and can then out perform what they are getting paid
If he wants the room exception the yea we need to move on

he's one of the best vet min pick ups on the board.

I would 100% take him as a vet min, which is what his market should be imo

It basically comes down to whether or not lebron still holds hard feelings over what happened. If he doesn't, its definitely something that wouldnt be the worst idea

It did not take long for you guys to talk yourselves into JR Freaking Smith.
Good luck boys.

Lakers gearing up for a Kevin Love trade

And will be a 34 year old who hasn't played competitive basketball in over 12 months.

quote:That is working with the assumption that you'll keep the Reggie Bullock cap hold on your books. Which isn't a terrible idea if you're not going to land a 3rd star. If the Lakers renounce that cap hold, they are back up to 23.7 mil.
Now we apparently only have 19 million in space according to woj

And is also a brain dead idiot that has had multiple runins with coaching staffs.
The guy is dumb as a box of rocks and probably a bit washed up.

and then you remember that we would be paying him the minimum and would probably be using him as maybe the 7th or 8th player in the rotation
Posted on 6/25/19 at 4:52 pm to JohnnyKilroy
ok Kilroy name us some better vet mins who can shoot and play decent D.

That's a stretch lol. He hasn't played decent D in 3 years
Posted on 6/25/19 at 5:09 pm to JohnnyKilroy
ok Kilroy. I'll give you that much. it's still a vet min
Korver better fit all around and he can double as lake show shooting coach

A sign and trade would hard-cap the Rockets, but they would then be able to use the $9.2 million non-taxpayer MLE to sign another player(s).
