If melo is the only team he will waive his no trade clause for maybe you take what you can get for him. also with no acting GM you may be able to fleece them a lil kinda like what D did to magic on his first day.

Rockets still have 3 non-guaranteed contracts they traded for that they didn't send to L.A.:

Ryan Kelly
Tim Quarterman
Shawn Long

They have to get rid of these guys by Saturday... meaning... Houston acquired them to use in a trade.

Houston's not done. Could be Millsap, George, or Carmelo.

Wish it was George, going to be Millsap. I'm really not sure about Melo, I'm afraid of that sort of move.

They do for Melo because it beats the NYK having to buy him out.

Melo has a no trade clause. They can't just trade him to anyone they want.

And then they won't trade him for pennies on the dollar

Sure, but are the Knicks forced into getting him off the team for next year? Can't they just not buy him out?

I really don't want George. Big fan of Millsap and his ability to score in the post.

Talking to my brother, he made good points. George is a fake alpha. He's never scored 25 ppg in the league. And he was hyped because the Pacers challenged LeBron, and he was the leading scorer. But what has he done since?

He also SUCKS off the court. Dude got the same stripper pregnant twice. Harden has shown a tendency to make bad decisions off the court. I don't want PG being a bad influence.

What do you mean? The salaries would match and they'd get a pick and they could ship out a disgruntled melo for a favorable contract while not having to buyout melo's contract.

Again, melo pretty much dictates where he goes if they want to trade him.

and the Knicks don't have to trade him or buy him out right? They can just do nothing and have him on their team next year right? Or am i wrong?

But is that what we want on this team? Might be the last good option out there at this point.
