I absolutely think teams would be fine with a week rest. They just dont want the two month shite that we've gotten

I loved that the first round was best of 5 and the NBA playoffs lost excitement when they made it best of 7

If you asked players and coaches: as a 1 seed would you rather: 1) play the 8 seed or 2) sit 2 weeks and then play a top 8 team in the league? It would almost unanimously be 1

Yes they're not guaranteed to happen, by any stretch, but they are guaranteed *not* to happen if they go to 5 game series
