Just advance to the conference finals. We only want Clippers vs Lakers

Would love to see Zion in the playoffs even for a couple games. Would produce TV revenue.

MSB can laugh but that is definitely on the network and NBAs mind.

Pels has the easiest schedule left in the league. Memphis had the hardest.

This version of the Pels with Zion definitely deserves playoff consideration.

in my honest opinion: 5 games warmup

As of now:
Top 20 teams, tournament style bracket best of 5 or best of 7
1. Milwaukee vs 20. San Antonio
2. LA Lakers vs 19. Sacramento
3. Toronto vs 18. New Orleans

etc, etc

Bottom 10 teams tournament style bracket, win or go home
- Top 3 teams improved odds to win lotto

“Playoffs Plus” play-in format options: Play-in tournament featuring bubble teams for 8th seed; play-in tournament for 7th and 8th seed; or group stage that replaces first round of playoffs and all participating in groups (each team plays two games against each group opponent and top two teams from each group advances to traditional second round).

Stolen from LesGeaux. The World Cup format would be super interesting.

That would be horrible.

What do you do after the second round? You have 5 team left, does one get a bye into the conference finals? Then you still have three teams remaining.

What's the deal with these leagues wanting to add playoff teams? Especially the NBA that has a long enough playoff as it is.

Adam will do whatever he can to get Zion Into the playoffs. Whether the governors will allow it is another story altogether.

if he don’t get in, Ja gets in. If he don’t get in, Dame gets in. Both guys on Zion’s stardom level

There is at least precedent for this in MLB and NFL.

Both had labor stoppages circa 1982 and had expanded playoff fields as a result, but not without controversy.

IIRC, MLB split the season into halves and gave berths to the leaders in each half. Problem is that a team with one of the best overall records (Reds?) was left out because they were consistently good but weren’t leading in either half.
