I think he was closer to what Larry Legend had in mind when he draft Psycho T.

Not bad. Rubio would have still been drafted though, on the sheer chance he may have come over.

Budinger > Caspi, IMHO.

I don't think Rubio would be drafted. Knowing that there was a risk that he wouldn't come. Knowing what we know now, there were 5 stud pgs in this draft, and two that could still be good.
Curry, Evans, Flynn, Jennings and Collison = Studs.
Maynor and Teague - Could be good.
ETA: Strike that SIX studs. Forgot Lawson.

from your list, id move Holliday and Beaubois up. Jereko up too maybe.
drop Maynor, Blair, Jordan Hill, Derozan down
Im taking Collison ahead of Lawson and Jennings. Jennings ahead of Lawson.

I don't see how Blair drops past where he is. His per minute numbers are insane. No quibbles with dropping Derozan. I was trying to make sure the Wolves didn't drop two pgs again. because that was retarded.
As for the Lawson Collison thing. I tried to take into account per minute numbers as well as playing time. It really is a PG heavy draft in hindsight.

some players, when stretched out, arent as good though.
Collison has proven to put up elite PG numbers with the playing time.
21PPG an 8 APG in 13 Feb games.
16 PPG and 12 APG in 8 March games.
even Lawson stretched out to his 36MPG totals, its 15/5
we dont really know about the other guys.
Blair even at his best, is prob a 9-10 RPG guy who can maybe average 10-12 PPG. Obviously better than his draft grade. Not sure about a lottery player though given the great guards in this class.
I mention a guy like Holiday, who has started a few games this month with some 20 pt games. Seems like he can be an elite scorer and a good ast guy

Does Wesley Matthews get drafted in the 2nd round?

A little early to revisit a draft, IMO. Some players simply develop and catch up to the higher level of basketball a lot quicker than others. Some players specialize in different areas of basketball that takes longer to translate to the next level. Some are projects who could really develop into absolute animals if they hit their ceilings. One year isn't near enough time to give players a fair chance. I mean, with this 'logic', we could already right off Griffin as a bust and another injury prone big man drafted first overall.

Minn's draft definitely was underwhelming considering what it could have been.

I just noticed Hansbrough is shooting 36 percent from the field.
Budinger's minutes have been reduced since Ariza came back. He's just as good as many of those players but expect his stats to drop off.
Jordan Hill has shown signs of being pretty good down the road. He had a couple of 12 pts/8 rebs games when he was finally given more minutes.

i don't think it's ever too early to speculate how this would have gone down.
