Other than Kobe, I think the results are okay. Does the replacement for Kobe end up as the guy with the 3rd most votes among the guards or is it one of the back-ups who was picked by the coaching staff?

Chuck and Kenny have asinine "reasons" for their all star picks

By their criteria, the all star game would basically be the Spurs vs Pacers

Kenny randomly says he wouldn't even look past the 6th seeded team in a conference to pick his all stars. Then Grant Hill embarrassed him and boxed him into admitting that means he'd keep Kevin Love out of the game.

Ernie Johnson actually had the best picks

it's an exhibition. Why shouldn't it be fan voting?

Yeah. NBA tv and TNT guys basically rotate back and forth. Chris Webber rotates in and out too when Barkley's out drunk

Guy from SBnation:

Good god Kenny

I like Kenny, but he's embarrassing himself tonight

Only one of those jackasses had AD on the team at all. Which is insane.

Had 9 straight 20-10 games

By Barkley's own criteria, he shouldn't have made a handful of the all star teams he made because Philly was shitty.

I don't even mind them keeping AD off specifically, because I think the coaches are gonna vote him in.

I just think its nonsense how heavy Kenny and Charles have decided to weigh a team's record when picking the best players for an exhibition game.

Zach Lowe's All-Star column was very detailed. Of course, Lowe is the best NBA writer out there, and he puts more thought into a blog post than Kenny and Charles put into a whole year's worth of work.

Fwiw, he had Davis in. And he didn't even use the cop out of "it's in New Orleans, they have to play him". But no matter what, he'll play. Stern will make sure that the host city's young superstar will play. It might be his final move.
