-Per 36 minutes Shaq was still an 18 - 10
-Per 36 minutes Zydrunas Ilgauskas was a double-double guy
= Great play from their center position

-Antawn Jamison is averaging ~20 ppg this season and ~18 ppg last season. So, obviously if he is better now, he must have been good last year.

Mo Williams was an All-Star last year

Anderson Varejao averaged a double-double last year

Therefore, every position had good play. Lebron just threw it all away because he couldn't handle it.

That's what I thought.

Good stuff.

It seems like only, or mostly, the Kobe guys dismiss PER so much.

If you are going to make that retarded argument, then at least get it right.

How is it retarded?

Fisher has five, Parker has four.

No, using Fisher would be retarded. Using Parker makes it a completely legit argument.

You don't see why using Fisher is MUCh worse than Parker?

He has had some great playoff performances, most notably that one in the 2007 ECF where he scored like all his team's points in the 4th quarter and OT. I just want Kobe on my team. That is really all there is to it and it is simply an opinion.

So basically you would rather not have the best player in the NBA on your team. LOL

Obviously Parker is a much better player than Fisher and it is not even close, but some of the posters always mockingly refer to the rings as the ultimate test of a player.

There's too much hostility in this thread, although I'm guilty of contributing. Anyway, Kobe has had a great career, top 10 guy, but he's not the best player currently. I'm out.

Also, I don't think unknownknight actually believes some of the bullshite he's posting. He's playing up his e-persona at this point IMO.

Ok, so how is the comparison retarded?

Parker is actually about as good a comparison as you can get.

No one would even call Parker a top 5 PG, yet he has the rings AND an NBA MVP. The contradiction is what is retarded.

My bad wrong year. 16 ppg and 5 apg are good numbers. You Lebronites make it sound like Mo Williams is Derek Fisher or something.

Do you factor in defense at all?

He's a bottom 3 PG defender in the NBA.

If you honestly did this with Lebron, you wouldn't be so high on him. He never gets called for fouls and goes for the "safe" blocks. That's about it.
