I never understood the comparison. Anyone who’s been able to watch both entire careers knows it’s not really close. LeBron is impressive, he’s had an elite/Alltime career but he’s not MJ.

I wonder how OP would respond to this exact poll about what the average American thinks about the legitimacy of the astros title

Coming back from down 3-1 to beat the 73-9 warriors without love or Kyrie for most of the series was more impressive than anything Jordan ever did.

LeBron is closer to Shaq and Wilt than he is MJ, Kareem, Russell, Magic. LeBron gets most of his clout from the media. The NBA always needs a face, more than any other league, amd LeBron is a great placeholder as a torch carrier. But as a basketball player and his effectiveness he’s not close to what MJ was.

Also, let's be honest. This was 1100 boomers being polled whose only argument was 6 rings.

Most Jordan fans are Boomers who actually get out of bed and vote

He didn’t beat the 73-9 warriors J. Everyone knows it. If golden state was even close to full strength that is a 5 gamer.

Those moments (Cavs Title, Heat-Celts Game 6 in 2012, etc) when Lebron goes into another mode are really hard to top. Where you stack that in your argument is subjective. I just think so many people's perception of Lebron is clouded because of his off the court BS.
