Terrible News

Furniture Row Racing is shutting down.

NASCAR needs a fricking wake up call. It’s embarassing to watch a team that was the best car in the garage a year ago, and one of the best this year shut down.

NASCAR needs to get their shite together.

They've had many. They refuse to wake up.

Yeah, they have been hurting the last couple of years. More bad news for them

Not sure how they can fix it. They are losing sponsors and fans left and right

If they would listen to the fans they'd be better off. Brian France needs to never come back, that would be a good first step.

It's surprising that it got so popular in the first place. It's just receding back to the niche sport that it is.

Well if a top 3 team and defending champion can't get a sponsor, NASCAR is in serious trouble.

I completely agree with this. It was extremely bizarre that NASCAR suddenly became like this national thing and tons of media coverage.

Unless you are a racing geek who cares about little details and stuff, it's so freaking boring.

I can understand how a casual fan can watch a football or basketball game, I have no idea how a casual fan could watch cars drive in circles for 3 hours.

If NASCAR had it their way they would own every team and every car would be identical.

Brian France needs to never come back.

Nascar is like Baseball (not playoffs)

Boring as hell on TV, but great in person experience.

Sure, but not a lot of these doomsayers know much about FRR or the reasons why they've folded. It's just a collective happiness that it's bad news with very little knowledge of why.

You may very well be right, and that may not be such a bad thing. The sport needs an enema.

I'm a racing geek that cares about little details and I still think NASCAR is boring. Whoever compared it to pro wrestling was dead on.

That's already happened. Except for the engine block and the sheet metal art, everything is mandated by NASCAR. Cam's, pistons, water pumps, headers, radiators, brakes, suspension components, everything

NASCAR Race Hub just announced that Truex is moving to the 19 for Joe Gibbs Racing.... wonder where that leaves Suarez?

Jeff Gordon was the Tiger Woods of NASCAR, and Dale Earnhardt was like Nicklaus.

Imagine golf’s popularity if prime Tiger was battling still in prime Jack.

That was NASCAR. Now Gordon and Sr. are both gone.

I read earlier today that if Truex went to the 19, Gibbs could move Suarez to a satellite one-car team that is considering moving to Toyota. Can't recall the name of the team.

It's not a bad thing at all. Get back to the roots and please the hardcore fans.
