Never seen a tape of a past game? All you have to do is rent one or go online. Review the game. You will be amazed my friend.

Watching the 1972 Basketball finals in which the U.S. team got cheated several times

The thing I remember most about that game (other than the bullcrap at the very end) was the 2 most clutch free throws in the history of basketball. With a couple of seconds left in the game, the US is down by 1. Doug Collins of the US is fouled - and goes to the line for a 1 and 1. If Collins misses the first free throw, the US looses its first baskerball game in Olympic history. But he steps up and hits both of them -- like it was no big deal.

i have always hated the steelers and the 49ers even though they weren't in our conference because of a couple of times when we faced them.

chuck noll was a fine coach, but i just didn't like the team he was coaching.

it took me 12 years before i forgave joe montana for lucking out and completing that pass to dwight clark

I don't think it was luck. He just threw the ball to a spot in the back of the end zone where his guy (who was 6'3") would have the best chance of catching it. The fact that it was caught was lucky, but the throw was pure skill -- and experience.

it sure looked like Barry Manilow was throwing it away with Ed "Too Tall" Jones, D.D. Lewis, Larry Bethea and Harvey Martin in his face

Wasn't it 4th down? Couldn't have been throwing it away. It was desparation for sure, but the way he floated it to the only place it could have been caught was really amazing. If it would have been almost anyone but Montana, I'd say it was luck, but he was 'lucky' an awful lot.

3rd and 3 from my childhood memory, but i could be mistaken. montana was cool beyond cool, and i grew to respect him only after the aikman slant to alvin harper in candlestick.

if i were to pick quarterbacks to build an NFL franchise around, he would be second only to Roger Staubach

Two words, "Immaculate Reception".

I was a Raider fan in my youth. I watched the game while in college. I do not know how many times I yelled "frick" after that play.

Many years later, I ran into Gene Upshaw at The Palm. We talked about it. He said there was not way that the refs in Pittsburgh were going to call back Franco Harris' score.

It still pisses me off eventhough I don't really follow the NFL anymore.

i don't recall a loss at LSU that i'd never get over, because it seemed like there was always a next year, especially in conference.

1993. Son was playing for the state championship in basketball in high school. Lost by one point after leading the entire game. The big pisser was our MVP for the year didn't score one point.

05 UT, maybe the Ole Miss game passed that up though, either way it was the same coach failing his team.

the tuck rule, my raiders got robbed, worse call ever

The Raiders should have won that game for sure. I remember 2 plays -- the tuck rule fumble (yea, it was a fumble) and the winning forty-something yard field goal by Adam Nougateri in the wind and snow.

That kick to me is the best field goal in NFL history considering the circumstances and conditions. He couldn't make it again if you gave him 20 more tries - but he made it the first time when it counted.
