Started collecting 1910 T210 minor league set…huge set but most of these guys were nobodies so it’s a cheap piece of history…exceptions are Shoeless Joe and Casey Stengel

Feel like they're doing them often in Shreveport now. Might have to come up for one

They are finding more athletes to come sign and are getting a decent draw from Dallas. They want to get that way with the one in Houma but I think that is a tall order

There is the Shreveport Card Show and the Ark-La-Tex show which is in Bossier. Although because of scheduling issues with the Bossier Civic Center the Bossier Show had to have theirs in Shreveport last go around. Both of the guys do 3-4 shows a year right now. If the person that puts on the Bossier show starts doing his in Shreveport it's going to be too much for the area.
The Bossier show is the one that normally has the signers at them, usually LSU football/baseball guys and it draws in a pretty good crowd, but normally it's a good bit of people there just for the signers so the card buying isn't as active. The person who runs the Shreveport Card Show does a really good job promoting it and legitimately loves collecting and trying to grow the hobby. He doesn't do signers at his shows and the location isn't optimal, but he puts in the effort to get people in the doors and there were over 100 vendor tables Saturday. It was a really good turnout.
I personally sold a lot and for the first time didn't buy a ton. Not a lot of good stuff walked up to my table. But that was probably a good thing, I needed to sell more than buy.
You should make a trip up to the next Shreveport one, it's a pretty good show.

Where do they usually have it?

Did yall see PSA changed a grade on an Ohtani card after a customer complaint? Pandora box has been opened. Let me find the story…

Psa is a mess and I wish people would stop sending to them. I'd forgive them saying they messed up on a grade but there are just too many questions with them these days

Shreveport Card Show is at a place called AcroSports and The Fieldhouse. It's a place where gymnastics is taught and they have batting cages and astro turf. They clear out the main area. Off of Line Ave. if you're familiar with Shreveport. But it's tucked back off the road and the GPS takes you to the wrong place. My wife also says the place smells like feet
Meant to post a few of my recent pickups, I'll do that a little later.

I lived in shreve city once upon a time so I follow. As far as the smell, maybe it masks the BO that is always at these shows. I was trying to look at some Jordans at the Nola show and told some guys they fricking stunk

And send where else? CGC isn't legit and BGS could be going bankrupt anytime noww

Cgc is fine imo. I am starting to see wherever compete more and more with psa. Oddly, Tag is gaining some acceptance

SGC is still #2 imo. Unfortunately PSA bought them but hopefully their service doesn't turn to crap. They have always had the most consistent grading and their vintage almost on par to PSA these days.

Sorry, I meant SGC on my end

I got ya.
I grail piece I've been looking for for years is an alfred hitchcock signed piece. One popped up on ebay at a reasonable price and I asked them about COA and they had no COA but a decent amount of provenance. It was a signed letter. I paid for a Beckett quick review but the item sold before Beckett got back to me. I was so disappointed. Well Beckett gets back the next day and it said the signature was very like to fail authentication. Glad I didn't buy it
