I know I'm biased, but Fehr's goal might have been nicer than Malkin's last night against the Lightning.

Has to be the turning point for Washington's season right?

One would think that, but I feel like they've been turning their season around for a little while now.

I'm not gonna lie. I got so pissed after the first period, I turned off the game and watched a movie. I decided to check my phone when walking the dog and... holy crap. Watched the highlights. Fehr's goal was insane.

Malkin's goal last night was also awesome, but it was a patented Ovie toe drag even complete with a jump into the boards. It was like watching Ovechkin. Maybe its in the Russian water. But we've been spoiled in DC, and we've seen that goal. A lot. It took someone else doing it to remind us how cool it is.

Turning point? Nah. I think that happened already. I think it was the second Jersey game. Right after getting blown out, Caps bounce back and get two points they had to have. Since then, the Caps are 4-1 (ok, they had that miserable game in Philly, but Milbury unsuprisingly failed to note the Caps had been playing a lot better as of late).

Caps started 2-8-1. They've been 7-3-0 since then. This might be too little too late given the short season, but the Caps are tied for best record in the East in their last 10. Unfortunately, given their crappy start, they have to do it again.

Hossa very late scratch tonight.

Go Avs!

Calling it, Avs snap the streak and beat the Hawks tonight.

1-1 end of 1 in Chicago, very lucky the Hawks aren't down a goal or two, Avs dominated that period.

Whiffed on an open net there, too. Avs should've scored in the waning minute.
