I'm going to re-visit this thread tomorrow afternoon once I have a chance to get a video of my swing up. I'm on a tug boat right now and everyone else is sleeping so I don't have anyone to record my swing. Luckily I keep an iron and a practice mat with me to practice my cuts so I'll get one up tomorrow, since some of y'all seem to know y'all's shite. I've always played, but never really taken constructive lessons or tips before.
I live in Mandeville and have been wanting to play Pinewood, but haven't made it out there yet. It's got to be better than Royal huh? You every play Abita?

Alright here are mine. Didn't have any balls on the boat to hit, but I did my best to emulate what my swing would be on the range or the course.

Truth be told they both suck, but I think Pinewood is a better course than Royal. My dad and I don't really play out there for the course quality, it's more because there are a bunch great people out there. He has thought about joining money hill or oak harbor, but in the end the people are less down to earth and don't really do as much shite together. I haven't played abita in like 4 years, but I would still put it ahead of pinewood.

1) Bend your knees at address. You have got to have an athletic stance, its not a question. In regards to exaggeration, you are going to feel like you're sitting in a chair. It needs to feel like that. Get closer to the ball.
2) Your grip. It is WAY to strong. No doubt you hit the ball left. You have a nice shoulder turn on the takeaway, but you bring the club way to far inside...Feel like the club head is in front of your hands, not the other way around...Picture #2 in the first picture as compared to what your doing in the second picture...
This is making your club face way to closed at the top, made evident by your flat left wrist at the top of your swing (in comparison to your forearm)
3) Begin your downswing with your right shoulder, not your left. Your upper body is moving much faster than your hips, which is also causing a left ball flight. You throw your body down at the ball, throwing off balance, swing plane, and angle of attack. Stay back and loaded. Drop the club to begin your backswing "in the slot", then turn everything.
You are doing what is in the top right image of this picture...it needs to look more like the bottom left.
These are some of the most major things...have someone watch you in working on some of these things so you don't get too far off track.

Thanks man, I noticed how straight up I was and worked on it yesterday. I'm playing today and will be hopefully in a better stance; all the other stuff seems like great advice and I will try it out next time I'm on te range. Don't wanna mess with it much while I'm playing
