Played against Joe McKnight through all my playground years in KennaBrah. He wasn't any good until around age 11....then he just passed everyone up in athletic ability and ran all over us.
I didn't know it at the time, but I guess one of my biggest sports accomplishments was making a lucky arse open field tackle on him to seal the game. If I didn't make the tackle he would have scored and won the game. It was just playground ball, but because he is in the NFL now I always think back about that tackle.

don't know if I played against any pro's ...I've got a cousin that is the Flatland BMX champion Terry Adams....Jac you must have played b-ball the same years as my nephew. He played for Ponchatoula, 6'4 white boy and he played the 2 guard and he could really shoot the 3..

Chris drury was on my hockey team in high school. He won a stanley cup w colorado and was the captain in both buffalo and mew york. Man you guys are young!

Played against Terry Bradshaw in H.S. for LA State Football Playoffs for State Championship. We were 11 - 0 when Terry and the Shreveport Woodlawn Knights came to Lafayette High in '66 and beat us to go on and win the State Championship.
We managed to injure him and knock him out in the first half and we were in the lead. Second half he returned and simply beat us with his passing skills.

My friend ran a HS race against Skeets Nehemiah. I ran a 220 yard race against Rod Milburn in an all comers race at LSU in 1973. Also ran races against Bob Smith and Tom Douple, 4 minute milers at LSU.

I played football against Anthony Thomas from Jr high till we graduated in 1997. I also was a coach on a t-ball team that David Jenkins played on.

Played against Marcus Spears and John Simon (returned kickoffs in NFL). They whipped us in football and basketball that year in the playoffs!!!!!!!

Chris Henry destroyed us in the playoffs Senior Year of high school. Then Belle Chasse got wrecked by Parkview in the dome.
