Because if they are forced to join a conference, right now its the ACC.

If they’re forced to join a conference it’s the Big Ten where all their rivals are and they already play hockey. They know as well as we do that they won’t be competitive in the ACC full time

The B1G is the absolute fricking worst. It’s a 3.5 team league parading as a legit power conference

The best conference in the country by a wide margin in 2024

At this rate, the B1G and SEC are going to absorb the other power conferences, they'll need to break into geographic divisions for reasonable scheduling and rivalry preservation, and then we'll basically be back to where we were 35 years ago
This.

They will absorb the other conferences and then it will break into smaller conferences within the conference.

This all makes no sense.

At 20 teams, is it even a conference anymore?

16 teams does not feel like a conference.

It is just 12 SEC schools + 4 Big 12 schools now.

its in the contract with the ACC through 2030 that if they are going to join a conference in football, it has to be the ACC.

The Big 10 feels like the OG Big 10/Penn State,/Nebraska + Rutgers/Maryland + Pac 12 quartet.

Very disjointed.

Big 10 x 2 could be a pretty cool logo

Missouri to me has always seemed more like a Big Ten team than an SEC team. To me they fit with states like Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, and like, not Alabama and Louisiana.

The Big 18 has 3 or 4 teams year in and year out that’s actually really good. The SEC has about 10 of those teams. Oregon boasted the conference a little bit. Iowa and Wisconsin would go 3-5 at best in the SEC.

Im a SEC guy 1OO% but your comment is 1OO% BS. Since NIL and transfer portal the Big 1O has been just as good if not better then the SEC. Its not my opinion it's afa tct with receipts to back it up. It kills me to say this but they are even in 2O25

And they'll let assclown sportswriters pick the conference champions.
