That was one of my go to’s with a gi. Harder to finish without a gi IMO.

UFC 224 Heavyweight Division
#10 Aleksei Oleinik v #14 Junior Albini
Albini pretty much looks like a huge 10yr old kid.
Oleinik lives / trains in Florida now if I heard correctly and his daughter was present at Parkland when that shooting took place. Unhurt though.
I will collude with the rooskies here and pick Oleinik.

First round, I think there was a head butt or seam on the glove caugh Oleinik maybe? Seems he got cut about 30 seconds in.

I don't know what the frick just happened....they tangled up, fell to the mat. Oleinik secured ezekiel choke from the bottom. To me that's super high level, especially without a gi. I've been shown this choke before and I think it's very difficult.

Damn all the fights are first rounders so far.

Dude had no idea what to say in the post fight. Doesn't speak good English. I wonder who his manager is. Many of the Russian fighters have the same manager, Ali Abdel Aziz - he can usually help them, he understands Russian a little bit.

He locked in the Eziekial while standing and just fell back and pulled guard....then squeezed the shite out of him with the choke

At this point you have to be crazy to clinch with that guy...lol

Bellator 199 - just started.

Referee for first fight is none other than Frank Trigg. Would almost rather see him go into being a judge considering how bad judging is within the sport.

Yep - completely passed right be me that he'd locked it in while standing. I thought he was just trying to keep Albini close to control distance. Dude is legit.

Perez kept at it on the ground, got his hooks in, found the RNC and got the submission.

I saw that Amanda Nunes has more victories in Bantamweight than Rousey. She's still very young. Unless she collapses she's a HOF'er, which is odd considering her lack of popularity. She already has about as many early finishes as Rousey and may soon equal the number of title defenses.

They are easy as hell to sink in, both gi and no gi. That’s why I always liked it so much. The harder part is controlling your opponent from squirming out after you have it sunk in.

I believe there's been a Brazilian in each fight thus far and they are 3-1 or 4-1 tonight. Either way, pretty good start for the home crowd, even though they are savages that robbed UFC staff this week outside the hotel.

She also has the personality of a doorstop.

Considering her resume she is Def one of the best ever. She should give cyborg a shot. She will make alot of money and if she wins she is a legend. If she loses oh well she wasn't supposed to win anyway.

Having to pull out of the schvenko fight due to sinus infection set her back a little.

She was starting to get recognition and had the main event then had to pull out the day of the fight.

She is a killer. UFC let some killers in...instead of just pretty faces and the women’s division got a more exciting quickly.

Ferreira is Brazilian, Roberson is from the US (New Jersey I think)

Fight is mostly on the ground so far. Good sound from Roberson's corner, all about his position to nullify attack and get back standing.

Ruh roh....triangle iin sin....and he's out

That was tough, there was some separation and Roberson seemed he was not good at then creating distance and space so he could stand up, left his arm out, Ferreira closed in again, kept that arm and elbow to the outside and fell into position for that arm triangle pretty swiftly and that was it....dude was out like a light.
