Id be much happier if he left this offseason and next years of was frazier, hicks and judge.
I dont wanna see torres in a utility role, make him the 3rd baseman and when hes ready lets roll. I really like our middle infield of didi and castro and wanna see them together for many more years.

See I like Andujar, 22 and has hit at every level. Only issue he seems limited to 3B/1B type roll. Torres can play multiple positions. If Bird can't come back you could flip Andujar at 1B and Torres at 3B.
Gardner is the leader, he isn't going anywhere plus I think Hicks is a FA at the end of the year as well.

Ah, Yanks lose Bradley, Frazier, Pineda, and CC, Holiday from this years team. I doubt Tanaka opts out with the way he has pitched unless his August/September is fantastic.

Hopefully the Red Sox don't get involved for Gray now that Price could be out for the year.
Might push up the price for the Yankees and make them more likely to give up a prized prospect in order to block Gray to Boston.

From everything I've read they say it is minor concerns. That he is serviceable now and his arm makes up for some of his mistakes. Issue is he doesn't seem like he can play a corner OF type of position. Maybe DH for the Yanks just to get the bat in the lineup if Torres takes 3B and Bird recovers.

I didn't really consider Andujar as a long-term DH option. I guess that could be his role.
