Doubt that, he'd be behind Chen and Feldman at Baltimore and definitely behind Parker at Oaktown.

This has been an incredibly slow Trade deadline. Too many teams are in or THINK they are in contention for a playoff spot so they don't want to be sellers. I think they should move the tade deadline back to about August 15th.

There's not really many pieces worth selling, either.

If your team is hovering around .500 and in good shape roster wise, no reason to deal off pieces to try all over again.

Now, a team like Philly I don't get. They are old and going nowhere. I'd be moving everything I could there.

Their asking price is high on everyone.... They want 4/5 prospects from any team on Lee and many that are considered "MLB" ready.... Even Young, I've seen from rumor mill/bloggers they are asking for a premium prospect and team to take on his salary.

Philly is posturing I think

They are dumb if the don't dump Young, Papelbon, and even Lee if they could.

It's getting harder and harder to make deals because the pendulum has swung so far too the other way on valuing your prospects. It used to be that teams would give away prospects like candy, now they value them like gold. Both approaches are applying the wrong value to prospects. Which is why the White Sox and Phillies can't make a deal. Everyone values their stack of potential gold too much.

This made me spit my coffee out. Feldman has started all of five games this year for the O's and has an ERA of 5.12. I'll spot you Chen, but Peavy would pretty clearly be the O's #2 starter (Tillman has the gaudy W-L record, but that's smoke and mirrors). Feldman wouldn't even be the best pitcher the O's got from a Chicago franchise this season if they traded for Peavy.

I agree.

I'd unload all those guys.

I'd consider moving Utley too. Why not?

Rollins refuses to waive his no-trade clause as well

Rube is a moron, but don't worry, Phils will make some moves in the final hours. May have to part with something good like Lee, in order to get some other parts also sent packing due to heavy contracts and/or no-trade clauses.

I suspect Lee, Papelbon, Ruiz, and M Young, will soon be gone.

Howard is an anvil, can't be moved. Rollins vetoes any moves. Utley is a fan fav, and his health has shown improvement this year, should be moved, but due to tix sales, probably will not be.

I'm reading a lot of Pittsburgh mentioned with him. Astros like Glasnow.

@JeffPassan 4m Sources: Bud Norris very likely to be dealt today, and Pittsburgh could be landing spot. Package built around Tyler Glasnow makes sense.

Yeah, no way in hell I'd give up Bogarts for Lee.

The Red Sox should just call the Cubs about Samardzija.

There was a time when a guy like Lee would unquestionably net three top prospects.
