Currently? Ok in 03 he ranked 10th in OBP
2004 he was outside of the top 10 in OBP and outside of the top 10 AL, 2005 he was #2 in OBP and #1 in AL, 2006 not in the top 10 MLB, #6 in the AL etc... we are talking 10 years ago, not sure why we are comparing them to numbers today... When most offensive numbers are down.
02: 5th MLB
03: 10th MLB
04: injured didn't qualify
05: 2nd MLB
06: 12th MLB
07: injured didn't qualify
08: 38th MLB

The fact he was a let down for the Yankees after the first season. Apparently that triggers something inside of you.
Your stupidity is the only thing that triggered me
The fact that he actually hit more HRs (in 1 less season) as a Yankee, OBP & SLG and OPS + all stayed they exact same. The. Exact. Same. Haha. What a letdown

Stupidity eh... Ah no wonder it is a personal thing. My opinion that he was a let-down triggers you. I can pull other opinions if you wish, several articles from writers that discuss him being a disappointment with the Yankees. You can e-mail them your thoughts as well.

Nope, pretty sure it's what he said. Your stupidity

I stand by the comment, he was a let down from the player the Yankees thought they were getting. Which was the guy who was hitting .330/.476/.650 the last two years in Oakland. He never came close to those numbers and regressed from his last year in Oakland.

That's fine. But that's like your opinion man. Lol

That is fine, maybe the expectations were too high especially after what he did those last two years in Oakland and the first season in the Bronx. He was surrounded by a better line-up and people expected similar production to that and while he had some good (great by today's standards) seasons he didn't produce the way he did during that 3 year period.

Prince Fielder to miss the rest of the season following next surgery... Beltran to the Rangers

My first thought was that the package looked deep. But on further consideration, they got one great prospect, but he is in the lower minors.
McKinney had a bad injury last year and doesn't have much power; looks like a 4th OF.
One middle reliever
and the fourth guy is speedy but hasn't hit yet.
It's a fair package but doesn't seem like the massive overpay it first appeared.

Man I think in this market CWS has to at least consider selling one of Sale or Quintana. They would get an absolute king's ransom.

MLB network is quoting Mckinney as the Cubs #4 prospect since they haven't don't their mid season update yet on mlb.com. BA just did their mid season update earlier this week. Mckinney wasn't top ten in the organization.

I prefer to just think of it as replacing Clayton Richard with a man with a scalding-firehot fastball who will fire a gun in his garage 6 or 7 times to make a point. He's like the spiritual successor to Big Z.

Is Richard officially gone?
Posted on 7/25/16 at 5:28 pm to BCMCubs
I think the real question is who would you get rid of to keep him?
Posted on 7/25/16 at 5:33 pm to BCMCubs
The only pitcher with options is Carl's Jr. You still, at some point, have to make room for Cahill, too.

McKinney's still young, but he was hurt last year and has a .667 OPS in AA, with 1 homer in 350 at bats. I don't know....

Theoretically they should...after all, Pomerantz yielded a top 20 prospect. But I don't think anyone will offer a king's ransom...or at least not what those guys are actually worth. Just my guess.
The only two GMs I see willing to trade a bunch of top prospects are Dombrowski and maybe Luhnow. The Dodgers and Pirates have the prospects, but not the will as I read it. I don't like the Rangers prospects, so I'd pass on them.

I don't think so. I've seen where Moncada, Benintendi and Devers will not be traded.

As long as Moncada and Super Nintendo survive, I'm fine.
