Fans always overrate prospects.

That is the exact type of shite Cashman was doing 10 years ago that had the Yankees in a hole before last year.

Why in the world would you trade your farm for a guy you could just throw the bank at in 6 months? I can see why the small market teams would do it, but it makes no sense for the Yankees.

What’s more likely to raise the most banners:

Option A: Trade Frazier and Andujar for half a year of Machado. Then sign Machado to a big deal in the offseason. Roll with Machado at SS and Didi at 3B? (Machado has already said he won’t play 3B and Didi’s friendly contract is almost up)

Option B: Keep Frazier until you can trade him for a stud pitcher. Sign Machado to a huge deal in the offseason. Roll with Machado and Andujar at SS and 3B. Trade Didi for more pitching.

I don't think there is much difference.

trading Clint Frazier now isnt going to ruin the Yankees future. Clint Frazier is replaceable. Andujar is a replaceable player. That being said i would be a little shocked if they involved Frazier as Hicks and Gardner are FA's within the next year or 2.

signing Machado next year isn't a given.

If they do trade Frazier, it doesnt mean they cant still land a stud pitcher. 13 of their top 15 prospects are pitchers. Luis Severino might win a cy young. They technically already have a stud.

and you seem to be forgetting about Gleyber in all this. SS by trade. can play 2B or 3rd. Didi can also play 2B. They are super flexible

See someone mention on Twitter the Yankees offer included Tate and Drury at least. Wonder if Andujar is going to Detroit for Fulmer

Oh and should mention, no one of substance just ideas from people who I follow who follow the Yankees

Andujar is the type of player you want to trade now, his value will never be higher. He’s a free swinging, low OBP guy with a so so glove. You trade a pitcher like Adams every time if you can get a guy like Machado. He’s sporting a near 5 in AAA and pitching prospects are hardest to project

I agree with you, I’d try and hold Frazier. Throw in a billy McKinney or one of the Tyler’s. Maybe even Brandon Drury

The rumors are swirling hot and heavy around Manny Machado and the New York Yankees but that's all it is. Sources close to NJcom said NO serious offer was made and Cashman is focused on a frontline starter instead. Earlier there were reports that the Yankees made a "considerable offer" to Baltimore, but later a report from MLB Network stated that Justice Sheffield was key to the trade and at the moment was not included. As of right now Cashman is just doing his due diligence and checking in on all possible players

Though Yankees fans might prefer a different target from the Mets’ rotation, the Bronx Bombers have “recently inquired” into the availability of right-hander Zack Wheeler, according to Marc Carig of The Athletic (via Twitter).

The Phillies have joined a growing list of clubs with interest in Orioles lefty Zach Britton, according to Jim Salisbury of NBC Sports Philadelphia. It does not appear, however, that there’s any particular momentum toward a deal.

"I don't think they're going to get a lot back for Machado on his own. For a three-month rental, you're not going to give up your best prospect. But if you throw in Givens in a Machado deal? You'd get a ton back. Machado and Givens might get you Gleyber Torres.

This is why some people should not be allowed to be reporters. Idk which one is worse: the Gleyber Torres or Benintendi rumor. Have to go with the latter

tduce literally posts anything he reads on twitter here. He doesn't screen anything. It's even worse that he doesn't put the source

Yankees will fix their rotation this winter.
Corbin, Morton, Keuchel, etc.

I think Eovaldi will be a Yankee as a rental for this season.
