And fwiw, I don't think Leake is a great fit for a team like the Yankees. If the Yankees are buyers, they need to buy someone with more "umph" than Mike freaking Leake.

there is no one other than Shields based on name... Maybe Ross or Galladro but that would be it

I like gallardo, but his declining strikeout rate is concerning

Still a small sample.

Leake's last four outings (all wins):

8 IP, 0 ER, 3 h, 10k, 1 bb
6 IP, 1 ER, 4 h, 2k, 2 bb
8 IP, 1 ER, 4 h, 6k, 0 bb
8 IP, 0 ER, 4 h, 3k, 1 bb

Thats 4-0, 0.60 ERA, 0.63 WHIP, 21K

Pineda hurt. Tanaka seems like a walking timebomb. Who can the Yankees deal for now?

you do realize that the Yankees have the best record in baseball in July, right?

I'd bet my left nut that Toronto doesn't catch the Yankees. Not sure they'll even make the playoffs.

Go for it

The Blue Jays have the best offense in baseball by a mile. Of course, Tulo helps them. But that really didn't address too much of a need, at least this season.

Price will make, what, 11 or 12 starts this season for Toronto? 2-3 of those will likely be against the Yankees, who hit him pretty hard.

I'm not arguing that Price doesn't help the Jays out in a big way, but to assume Toronto is going to make up 7-8 games in two months because they traded for a guy who will pitch every 5 days is wishful thinking.
