NL East gonna be real solid this year from top to bottom
Did they kick out the Nationals and the Mets?

Mariners..made a lot of moves only competing with the Angels.
what about the Rangers?
Rangers are better than the Mariners IMO. Mariners have no offense
TEX pitching may actually be decent this year

I didn't think the Rangers were a "surprise team", but after reading all the people picking the Mariners, I guess they are.

The mariners have their work cut out for themselves. I hope they can pull it out though, you never know what can happen once your in the playoffs.

I don't really see a threat in Texas in all honesty. King Felix and Lee will be one of the toughest one two pinches in baseball. A healthy Bedard in May or June makes a nice three man in the rotation.

they finished ahead of Seattle last year FWIW

Rays return to World Series form
Padres win 75-85 games

So because they finished ahead of Seattle last year makes them contenders this year? That makes no sense. Mariners made a lot of moves on their team this offseason. Adding a second number 1 pitcher being a key move. They are much improved from last years roster. What has Texas done that makes them big contenders? It's the Angels division to lose but I think the Mariners have the only shot of competing with them for the West.

I wouldn't say the only shot, but they definately have the best shot

M's are no lock for the west..its up for grabs...
I do believe if we are in it around deadline we pick up that big bat though.

Royals, Zach Greinke wins 25 games.

Just being honest, they don't stand a chance against the Yanks and Sox this year. Those two teams starting rotation are two of the sickest I've ever seen.

The Royals don't have enough offense to make this happen. I love Greinke though.

The only surprise is if the Yankees DON'T win it AGAIN.

Harden - IF he can stay healthy, he's a legit #1 (unlike Millwood)
Guerrero - Loves hitting in Texas' ballpark and will be hitting DH instead of playing OF
Hamilton- Wasn't healthy last year, when he is, the guy can rake
Chris Davis- He can't get any worse than he was last year
Colby Lewis - Could also be a surprise this year, but I haven't seen him pitch recently, so I'll reserve judgment
Overall, the Rangers are a talented young team with one of the top farm systems in baseball. The offense should significantly better this year and the pitching shouldn't regress much, if at all.

I personally think The Rangers have a shot at the AL West but I think they'll for sure win the WIld Card if they don't clinch the West. I hope they win their division, because I see it as a very difficult challenge for the Sox to take the East.

Okay but I am not a delusional fan. If you do not won the AL West you do not make the playoffs. I expect the wild card to come out of the east. I don't see two west teams with that many wins. Also I said it is the Angels division to lose. I did not say the Mariners will win it, just that they have the best chance to compete for it. Lastly, I don't think a good offense and a pitching staff with questions is the formula for MLB. Vladimir dropped way off kind makes me wonder about him and steroids to see him drop so quickly. I don't expect much from him really. There is a reason nobody really went after him. As I said I do not see much in the Rangers this season.
