Jose Quintana has signed a 2 year $26M contract with the Mets per @WillSammon and @Ken_Rosenthal
Quintana had a big rebound year with PIT/STL. He made 32 starts and posted a 2.93 ERA (2.99 FIP) in 165.2 innings pitched

Waiting on correa to the giants. Those two are a match made in heaven, or hell I guess

Curious why you would say that. Due to your dislike I would suppose.
Correa's power numbers will not be helped there, and his history of back issues not likely to age well out in that blustery, off the Bay cold wind

Sox badly needed to upgrade the bullpen and they did that with three new arms.

Yeah Correa wouldn't be a good fit in SF, but they'll give big money to one of the SS and I think it'll be Correa.

Well, he's more a fan of superstars.
The team concept was lost on him, likely from events surrounding his CFB allegiances

The padres lost out on another player they had the biggest offer for

Currently, the Mets' CBT payroll is ~$298 million. With the Jose Quintana signing, they are now over the Steve Cohen Tax threshold, and every dollar they spend gets taxed at 90%. If they stop spending today, their total tax bill would be ~$34 million. But they're not stopping.

Incredible note from Tom Verducci on @MLBNetwork: Judge is 282 pounds and will be signed through his age-39 season. He'll have a chance to become just the second player ever to hit a home run at 270 pounds or more and at age 37 or higher.
The other was Bartolo Colon.

It sucks, but the Cubs brass does not like the way he frames pitches. He's not the style catcher that they want.

I’m afraid that Contreras will lose more games with his glove than he wins with his bat. If the Cardinals sign him I hope I’m wrong.

Automated strike zones are about to make this irrelevant.
