This NL lineup + Gordon and Stanton would have been absolutely ridiculous.

WTF?
The music in the all time great highlight packages is a strange tonal shift from when they show the players on the field w/the triumphant orchestral score.

Wong is behind DJ offensively and not the current gold glove winner. Get your shite out of here.
Check out adjusted numbers like OPS+
Lemahieu plays in the best hitters park in the game

You can also consider Espinosa and Phillips, I never said Wong should have been a starter did I?
Posted on 7/14/15 at 7:24 pm to catholictigerfan
And I had the pleasure of watching all 4 play most of their careers.

Where the hell was Bonds in that group? Disgrace to the game he wasn't mentioned

DJ is 4th in OPS and he batted half the year 8th and 9th in the lineup..... Him being the starter behind Dee is not a shock to anyone who was following baseball

I remember watching them all with my dad. He would have loved the ceremony. Koufax always the best. Willie and Hank. I remember Bench as a young hot shot.

the only advantage Wong has over DJ is what you bring up. DJ has had an amazing year, and completely deserves the start.

damn, closest i get is johnny bench who retired 10 years before i was born
Posted on 7/14/15 at 7:27 pm to lsupride87
Pulling hairs, but I've got to replace Bench with Bob Gibson on that greatest living quartet.

I was like 5 when Sandy retired. Saw all the others, though.
