A little disappointed that all of JD, Nate, Wacha and Hill are staying put.

And very surprised that we are staying over the CBT with a .500 club.

#stlcards have also included a PTBNL stipulation that they will send a minor-league player from an agreed upon list if Bader is not back from his foot injury this season, probably tied to playoffs, a source described.

Ah okay now it makes a little more sense, it has sounded unlikely Bader plays again this season so I was wondering about that.

LOL

Mo'ron did nothing but trade for average pitching. I don't believe he was in on any of the top arms available.

Ownership has made it pretty clear, they are in it to make a wild card, and pray for a deep run. They have zero ambitions on being the best team in mlb, it's about getting in, getting a wild card. They said so themselves.

You should see the deadline deals he's made since 2019. fricking disgrace

C Austin Romine has been traded to the Cincinnati Reds for cash considerations.

We have acquired C Austin Allen from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for minor league RHP Carlos Guarate.

Allen will be assigned to Memphis (AAA).

Bader has been out a long time too. Yankees must believe he will be back soon. Montgomery has pitched well. I like the deal.

Yeah stats wise Montgomery has had back to back solid years, and the NLC is not the ALE. Elite walk, whiff and chase rates.

Was thinking the same thing

So what’s our rotation look like next year?

Greene
Lodolo
Ashcraft
Brandon Williamson???
???

Sign Mike Minor to a 10 yr deal most likely

I think we'll see Williamson called up this week now that we're short. Give him a shot, can't hurt were already done.

The rotation is better, but probably not good enough to go deep in the playoffs. I wanted Rodon, but the cost must have been similar to Castillo trade. Mozeliak should have ponied up for Scherzur last year. Now they are stuck with a rotation that doesn't match up to other playoff teams. I don't know why Stratton is coming either. He's worthless.

I would have been furious if they gave up Walker or Winn for anyone but Soto.

Only good in the deals, is that Bader is finally gone.

Guy was grossly overrated by Management.

Contreras stays with Cubs.

They have to extend him now, right? If not, they get nothing for him or frick him over with a QO in the off-season.

Guys with that type of athleticism just have so much potential. I get wanting to give him every chance.
