It wasn’t missed they legit straight up said it. They said Notre Dame’s extra top 25 win over UNC combined with the Clemson win was better than A&M’s resume.

TV dictated it; nobody was going to watch TAMU/Bama II.
What's the point of that game? They already played and Bama is way better. At least with ND they could sell to the public the mystery and chance that ND could pull off a shocker.

What are you talking about? ND had its chance to prove, AGAIN, that it belonged and they shite the bed, AGAIN.

I would prefer Cincy. Do they belong? Probably not, but we'll never know till they're given a chance to prove it.

We already know ND and A&M don't belong.

ND is better than A&M.

One argument for Notre Dame getting the nod over A&M was the Irish's win over a ranked NC team. It flies in the face of why Cincy was ranked higher than Coastal even though Coastal had two wins over ranked teams (BYU & ULL) while Cincy has one (Tulsa) - Cincy passed the eye test according to them. Wouldn't the two wins over ranked teams place them over Cincy? Seems like they adjust the narrative to fit their agenda.

The playoffs seem more about eyeballs and viewers. I think Ags would beat ND but either of them will get skull drug by Bama. We've already seen Ags and Tide so that won't work for a game; Notre Dame barely beat a Clemson team in double OT with a freshman QB. A&M's only hope to get in was for Northwestern to beat TOSU. I think an Irish win over Clemson might have only dropped Clemson to 4 to make a Bama/Clemson matchup possible.

Now explain Ohio State's resume...

ND got smoked in their championship game, sets a horrible precedent.

Cincy at #8 is everything wrong with this sport right now

Just admit you pick the playoffs to maximize profits and let’s stop playing pretend

No they aren't. A&M is as good if not better than Notre Dame and possibly Ohio State and will be ranked accordingly after the season ends.

Ratings and revenue, Notre Dame’s a national brand, completely a business decision

Don’t think A&M would play better than they did first time? That game in a way caused the run A&M achieved to this point imo, I think they would play better this time around but A&M’s not even close to a national brand, would be a ratings washout.

ND would beat A&M by 2 touchdowns. Yall are being blinded by them losing to the best team in the country. Yall going to learn when Clemson beats down Bama.

Commentators who have maligned the Committee said the big issue was they changed their reasoning and criteria every fricking week to suit their agenda.

Example such as Indiana.

So if ND had gone the covid route and skipped out on the ACC championship game, you would have no issue with them being in?

The only team that is in that doesn't deserve it is OSU... I can't see how anyone can dispute that.

ND went 1-1 against the 2nd best team in the country. TAMU went 0-1 against the best team in the country.

The public already knows TAMU can't beat Bama and TAMU would've been #4...that's a ratings disaster.

At least ND hasn't played Bama so there's still an unknown factor. And ND would have to beat Bama to get to probably Clemson again, ergo earning their spot in the Championship game.

Look we all know Bama is going to roll ND but they would've rolled TAMU again so what was the point?

Give another team a try...and the public might actually tune into the semis.
