9 inning shutout with under 100 pitches
Threw 95 pitches, 74 of them were strikes
1 Hit, 0 Walks, 15 Strikeouts
104.5 mph, hardest throw by a starter ever
Masterful

Baseball Reference has a top pitching games of all time list. Kerry Wood’s 20 K 1 H 0 BB game is #1. Then Kershaw’s 15 K perfect game that was only messed up by an error and then a couple 14 K perfect games.
This might be a top 10 pitching performance of all time.
If Mis stays healthy he’s going to do some insane stuff

Great game, but I think 95 is a few too many for a Maddux. He was more of a hit his spots, soft contact, ground ball guy. Misi is throwing gas.

A Power Maddux to the tune of 15 Ks is the most impressive form of one. 9 innings of boot up arse that you can’t do anything about laughs at soft contact outs. That kind of power AND 2.3 balls an inning? fricking insane

Just saying, Maddux was all about a low pitch count and winning without the best stuff in the game… that’s more of a Kerry Wood

He’s amazing no doubt. However, his mechanics scare me. Just the arm action alone makes me feel like he’s going to be like DeGrom. Only a matter of time before it snaps.

lol radar guns are so juiced nowadays it’s ridiculous. Chapman threw harder than that in his prime and barely ever hit over 101.
105 mph pitch lol…gtfo. If that’s 105 then tons of guys back 10-20 years ago that were registering 98 were also there.
