I can see an overrated argument but he’s definitely not mediocre. Mediocre coaches don’t go 19 seasons without a losing record.

He’s a pretty damn good coach. For a variety of reasons, the franchise just stalled out under his leadership in the last 7ish seasons.

Mike Tomlin was properly rated. Seems like most talking heads understood he could consistently get teams to the playoffs, which is an achievement, but couldn’t win there anymore.

ETA: Trying to understand the downvotes here. Does that genius think the Steelers came into existence in 1969?

I’m wondering too. Maybe it’s a meme or something, but Pittsburgh had some shite seasons before Chuck Noll.

Seeing rumors that Tomlinson paid her 3.5 million last year to keep quiet. She is sitting closest to Tomlin.

this is objectively a bad take.

is he a legend or a great? No
pretty good coach? Yes

He took had a winning record or took the Steelers to the playoffs the majority of the time he was there. Meanwhile they never spent and never had high draft picks.

Typical above average defensive side head coach.

Too conservative offensively to win big games. Tony Dungy was the same guy.

Both won Super Bowls due to inheriting already established quarterbacks who were above being controlled.
