By that argument then OSU was more talented than Florida since we had more people drafted.
yes, very similar talent levels.
its either talent or coaching sprint. obviously the talent is there, you and i both know this. it has been well documented how many players from osu go on to the nfl.

Still waiting to hear how the "top 5 coaches" would have magically won against LSU, Florida, and USC utilizing what Tressel had to work with.
already answered this. its not all about winning....
.....tressel couldnt even field a competitive taem etc...

I want to make sure I'm seeing this right...you're saying OSU is as talented as UF?

even though the pac ten has been a better conference than the big ten this decade in the first place (obviously)

this upcoming year, no.
last year, not quite.
2oo7, yes. there was no reason to lose by 30 points with a month to prepare. none.

Well, USC and Oregon have been carrying that banner for a while. PAC10 is a weird league. Top to bottom it would be hard to argue they're better than the Big10 I think. I think it would be a push...USC better than OSU in that stretch, but then on back edge to big 10.

check the conferences bowl records for this past decade.
2000 through 2008 and then get back to me slick

PAC10 has pretty horrible bowl tie-ins while the Big10 plays a pretty brutal bowl schedule. Not exactly measuring the same thing IMO.

they have the same essential tie-ins, are you kidding me right now. i honestly thought you were better than this, wow.

How many Big Ten teams have made BCS bowls vs. Pac-10?

There is still no denying that AS A CONFERENCE, the Big 10 has been more competitive than the Pac 10. Every year there are several teams that compete for the Big 10. The Pac-10 is USC and the occasional Oregon popping up.

Wisconsin, Illinois (one year wonder but STILL), Michigan, OSU, PSU. Who the hell in the Pac-10 stacks up since 2000? USC and....?
The Pac-10 has dominated the Big-10 head to head since 2000. It's not even close. And the Big-10 hasn't won a Rose Bowl since 2000

well actually there is. do some research on your own (if you are capable) just for this decade and compare the conferences.
i already told ya, if you do not want to trust me, that is fine. i keep statistics for this shite for personal gambling use, and the pac10 > big ten.

Even last year, when the Pac-10 was terrible, it still went 4-1 against the Big-10

Since 1946, the Big Ten champion has had a tie-in with the Rose Bowl game, now a BCS bowl. The Big Ten also has tie-ins with six non-BCS bowls:
* Capital One Bowl: Orlando, Florida (Big Ten #2 pick against SEC #2 pick)
* Outback Bowl: Tampa, Florida (Big Ten #3 pick against SEC #3/4 pick)
* Alamo Bowl: San Antonio, Texas (Big Ten #4/5 pick against Big 12 #4/5 pick)
* Champs Sports Bowl: Orlando, Florida (Big Ten #4/5 pick against ACC #4 pick)
The Alamo Bowl has the 4th pick in 2007 and 2008, while the Champs Sports Bowl has the 4th pick in 2009.
* Insight Bowl: Tempe, Arizona (Big Ten #6 pick against Big 12 #6 pick)
* Motor City Bowl: Detroit, Michigan (Big Ten #7 pick against MAC #1)
quote:
* #1 Bowl Championship Series. The Pac-10 champion gains an automatic berth to a BCS bowl game, preferentially the Rose Bowl.
* #2 The Holiday Bowl (#2 PAC10 v #3 Big12)
* #3 The Sun Bowl (#3 PAC10 v #2 BigE/#4 Big12)
* #4-5 The Las Vegas Bowl (v #1 MWC) and the Emerald Bowl (v #? ACC) coordinate their selections of the fourth and fifth teams to provide geographically favorable match-ups.
* #6 The Hawaiʻi Bowl receives the sixth choice of Pac-10 teams. In years where the Pac-10 does not have six bowl eligible teams, the Hawaiʻi Bowl will select from C-USA instead. (AKA every year but one).
* #7 The Poinsettia Bowl receives the seventh choice of Pac-10 teams. In years where the Pac-10 does not have seven bowl eligible teams, the Poinsettia Bowl will select from the WAC instead. (There has never been an eligible Pac10 team for this bowl)
Yea, Pac10 and Big10 tie-ins are certainly equal. And it took me like 15 minutes to research all of this shite, so if you blow it off I'll be upset

certainly compareble bowl tie-ins.
COMPARABLE?!?!?!?!?!?!
We get to play the SEC and they get to pound the ACC and Big East's pussy. Not to mention if they could actually get enough teams eligible they get to play a bunch of mid-majors. You're as high as a giraffe's pussy if you don't think they DON'T have the worst bowl tie-ins.

Since 2000, the Pac-10 has the best winning percentage against OOC BCS teams, OOC Top-10 teams, and OOC BCS teams with 10 win seasons, and a 10-7 record against the SEC over that period.
HORRIBLE CONFERENCE!
