The story said UConn only wants to join for football. They're staying in the Big East for basketball et al.

UConn should probably just move to FCS for football like so many of the other Big East schools.

Chip Kelly was right when he said let football do their own thing with conference affiliation and let the other sports stick to a regional league

People shite on Northern Illinois, but that's what they did. Football in the United or WAC or whatever, other sports in the Horizon League I think.
I also would like to see regional football rivalries come back. But more important to the survival of all sports is making them more affordable with more regional travel.
