Did MJ have Collins fired? IIRC they had a good relationship. That's the reason why MJ had Collins come in to run the Wizards.

Collins, who led the Chicago Bulls into the Eastern Conference finals last season for their best postseason showing in 14 years, unexpectedly was fired as coach Thursday.
Hmm best season ever and he is fired?
Im sure Mike had his back

"It's something between management and Doug Collins

Collins called time-out, gathered everyone in a tight circle, and began to draw a play for Dave Corzine. “Everyone started to look around,” recalled back-up forward Jack Haley, who would call the moment the most thrilling of his life. “Doug could see everyone sort of frowning, and he started to explain that they wouldn’t be expecting Corzine to get the ball. Michael just slammed his fist down on the clipboard and said, ‘Give me the frickin’ ball.’

In a prepared statement, Reinsdorf cited only "philosophical differences between management and Doug" as the reason for the move. But Langel, in an interview with the Daily News, said the problem was friction between Collins and Krause and not a rumored rift with Bulls superstar Michael Jordan

BTW, LeBatard, who thoroughly hates Lebron, says this report is absolute bullshite. Don't let that stop y'all though

Lebron deserves better coaching.
Lebron doesn't deserve a damn thing. He has made every bed he has laid in for the last 6 years.

LeBatard absolutely loves and always supports Lebron. He's said all week he 100% supports Lebron in this situation, even if he intentionally got Blatt out to specifically get a black guy in. He is totally ok with that.
I know you'll reference the billboard incident as it would seem to contradict what I said, but if you really know the show, that was just a bit for publicity and it actually makes sense that he'd do that while still being a pro-Lebron guy. He even said that quite a few times in the middle of the ordeal.
LeBatard is almost always pro-Lebron in these discussions, and he is in this one.
That being said...

says this report is absolute bull shite

Oh ok, so when Griffin says that Lebron wasn't involved in the decision we all know that's bogus, but we automatically take the Bulls at their word when they say the same thing?
In both cases we're taking the same type of circumstantial evidence and reaching a conclusion. It all depends on what conclusion you want to reach.

Listening to lebatard talk about it now, I love these threads how everyone assumes something is true from someone they've never heard of because it fits their narrative.

Reinsdorf is a cheap prick. There has been friction between management and virtually every coach during his ownership. Even Phil Jackson. Thibs, Vinny, etc.
