The most amazing ones are vs rams where he slams head first into the rams defender and eventually looses his shirt. Vs the raiders where he is hit squarely in the chest then stumbles into the end zone. Absolutely amazing

Earl Campbell...my GOAT football player. Four 200 yard rushing games in one season. Unreal.

I think 1979 was his greatest season, I think 19tds

I remember when Hollywood Henderson met him head to head on about the three yard line. Henderson stopped him but he got up wobbly and dazed as he ran off the field, from the impact

Dude had FOREARMS OF STEEL, surprised he never broke an arm every 3rd play with how violently he would lead with those forearms

Exactly. He had it all. Power, speed, vision, balance, toughness & versatility but lots of people forget the power aspect of his game.

He was like the tasmanian devil, just running into & bouncing off defenders.

Regardless of Bevo (but reports say he knocked him down despite the bad video), he carries that DB 5-yards into the endzone...knocks that guy 5-yards back like a rag-doll.
Never seen anything like that. Like he was playing against children.
Him and the Nigerian Nightmare looked like it could end a DBs career...they asked Deion Sanders, "how do you tackle Okoye?" And Sanders responded, "you make a business decision."

Not Steve Atwater.....

Okoye's response to that play was that "they keep replaying that...I ran over that guy so many times in my career but they replay the one time I was hurt and off my feet."
Even Atwater later admitted, I got him when he wasn't full and had turned the jets off on his run.
It's all in the Okoye documentary. Atwater has nothing but respect and says he got lucky on the perfect circumstance...of Okoye not really knowing the game and how to protect himself when off-kilter and taking the pedal off the gas.

The Hit of the CENTURY
Please.
I love Atwater but Ronnie Lott has about 5 better...let alone Jack Tatum, Jack Ham, hell...Chuck Cecil has more violent hits than this against guys twice his size.
If Okoye wasn't so difficult to tackle and hard to take down...why is this one hit so fricking famous?
Wow somebody tackled him...Hall of Fame for the tackler time.
I mean it goes to show you how much respect Okoye garnered and how difficult he was to tackle that one hit that EVERY other running back takes MULTIPLE times in their career...becomes some sensation
