To who? The media?

I would do the exact same thing. He has no obligation to tell the truth to the media. They are spineless weasels themselves that love to destroy lives.

He didn’t lie to the police. That would be inexcusable.

Your comparisons are just blantantly fricking illogical.

Getting in an accident and hurting someone while operating a motor vehicle is not the same thing as some hot headed a-hole willingly intentionally punching his wife repeatedly.

You're also putting a hypothetical together that the coach knew the assistant liked to text and drive and then the assistant got in an accident, therefore, he HAD to be texting and driving at that exact moment.

How do some of you people make it though life?

What if the assistant coach tells you he likes to drive 20 mph over the speed limit while texting and driving?

Should you have to report that?

No, you don't.

There are very specific and clear things that you're required to report. This idea that there is some blurry line is ridiculous.

Poor form pal. Arguing men and women aren't equal because you can beat the shite out of your wife is a bad route to go.

Not really. I’m saying progressives treat any abuse (physical or psychological) of a woman as a special case of abuse. A case where the victim is helpless and deserves special attention.

Yet at the same time they ask why a man who cut off his balls cant fight a XX woman in an MMA cage because gender is a social construct. This shite is real.

All I’m saying is we SHOULD treat domestic abuse of a woman as a special case precisely because men and women ARE different.

The only reason I bring this up is because the same people who will start this witch hunt are the ones who next week will be advocating for the trans gender MMA fighter to bash the skull of some other female fighter

Why don’t we have to report if the assistant coach likes to beat up his younger brother? Or do we?

I’m just wondering why an aspect of 2 consenting adults life has to be reported by another because that person is a public employee?

If Meyer broke a rule he should be fired no doubt. I’m just questioning the law. If it’s so cut and dry and important why are only public employees required to report. Why not every member of society?

It's based on receiving public funding. It's designed and framed around preventing sexual descrimination.

If it's considered domestic abuse by authorities in that jurisdiction, it should be reported. To CYA, when in doubt, you report.

If you ever get a job with a higher Ed institution, this shite is preached to you just like anti money laundering is taught to a banker. It's second nature.

No, she didn't. Title IX has gone off the deep end of late, but the policies in place cover all employees, whether they're the victim or the culprit.

How do you not see the irony in this?

“Men and women are equals on all levels, physical and psychological”...

“It’s crazy to think a woman can defend herself from a man or even be expected to report abuse to the authorities. Obviously head football coaches should be required to protect them from abuse.”

These 2 statements cant both be true. One has to be false.

Seems to be the belief if he did in fact know in 2015.

Too late in the day for a political debate, but the idea is that you should treat them equally. I don't get caught up in the very obvious physical differences. I believe you can treat men and women equally and also believe a man would wipe the floor with a woman in a fight.

When I was employed by a university, the "suspected or reported abuse" was not gender specific.

If a wife were beating her husband, if a male professor was beating another male professor, I would be equally required to report what I knew.

These situations don't seem to come up quite as often as males physically abusing females though.

If he knew, why not just fire the coach? WR coaches are a dime a dozen. It is a weird hill to die on.
