This line tells me a lot. You know the public is heavy on conor, but its still less than 3-1. Poirier is a good value bet here even though he has lost to mcgregor before (in 2014 at featherweight).

I'll be rooting for our boy from lafayette, although i love everything conor brings to the sport and he hasnt lost to anyone at lightweight or featherweight besides khabib in 10 years

Anyone throwing any money down on either side or at least getting some people together for the ppv? This is the most hype ive been for a fight in over a year

Connor seems more zoned in to this fight. Khabib changed the way this man talks and trains now.

I'll be ordering the fight. Will always be in McGregor's corner, but I don't mind a great fight if he loses. I was not happy with the Khabib fight. Not because he lost, but IIRC, Khabib just controlled the entire fight and Connor just never got in a rhythm which is what I tune in for.

Connor is great for the sport win or lose, but even though I am probably a below average viewer of the sport, it seems to me these guys' careers fade away quickly once those losses start piling up. I really enjoyed watching Cowboy Cerrone. He's a great personality for UFC/MMA but Connor put a nail in that coffin IMO. At least he got a nice paycheck out of it.

Khabib was an awful matchup for conor, i wouldnt count it against him. Khabib was just an unbeatable freak at that weight class

100% agree. Cowboy was always exciting to watch but never had the complete package together to make that final leap. I hope he is set for life because he took any fight on any notice. Feels like he hit the sport 5-7 years too soon before all the training and nutritional shite was figured out

Threw some $ on Dustin for this one. Connor will probably win but I’m hoping for the upset .

I’m definitely throwing a few bucks on DP on this one. Good value and I’m glad he’s getting a shot with such a giant draw as McGregor.

His cousin Umar is fighting. Don’t know anything about him or his opponent but he’s -600. That last name carries a premium.

I just don't see how Porier beats Conor. This is totally his style of fight. When Conor doesn't have to worry about being taken down, he's nearly unbeatable.

Porier's only chance is to take him deep deep into the fight and hold he'll gas out like he did against Diaz. But Diaz is also a much bigger, longer fighter. Porier is not built like that.

He's going to have a tough evening I believe. Conor has also seemed to really get his focus back over the past year.

With Kabib supposedly retired, the belt is right there for the taking.

I’m a Conor fan boy and I always end up having to work nights for all his fights

Dustin can win but he gets hit a lot by slower, less precise, less powerful fighters so I think his only hope is to last a few rounds until mcgregor starts slowing down. Dustin has lasted in a few wars at 155 so it’s possible. Definitely an intriguing matchup.

i feel the same way but dude just because it hasnt happened yet doesn't mean it isn't going to. Poirier can pile it on kinda like Diaz did in the first fight (i know its not a great comparison at all because of the reach)

he did it to gaethje and a pissed off poirier going for revenge is a dangerous dude. he definitely has the hands but he cannot get too aggressive and walk into conor and get caught again

if conor wins it solidifies his greatness, Poirier has worked so hard to be in this spot, he actually was game against khabib

That’s what makes this such a great fight. A lot of great unknowns.

Dustin appears to have a rock solid chin at 155. The war with gaethje was incredible.

Connor’s resume at 155 is relatively small to where we can’t tell a whole lot. Does he have 1 punch power there or will he have to drop Dustin several times?

Is Dustin willing to wrestle? If nothing more than to just empty connors tank?

Tons of unknowns. My guy is that Connor stops him but it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Dustin wins. I’m cheering for Dustin

it's definitely there. ask cowboy

poirier is gonna be sliding to his left early and often to avoid that left hook. wouldn't be surprised if he baits it and goes for a trip

I also wonder how many rounds Connor has in him. He had a questionable gas tank before and I don’t see how looking like a body builder is going to help that

He destroyed cowboy's nose with a shoulder in the clinch. It was so random, powerful and weird all at the same time.
