Only guy I ever thought could beat Mayweather was Paul Williams cause he threw a ton of punches and had incredible reach. I thought he could jab his way to a decision.

Also Floyd wasn't coming off a year layoff

It was 8 months....the point is that layoffs are nothing new in Mayweathers career

Marquez - 21 month layoff
Mosley - 8 month layoff
Ortiz - 16 month layoff
Cotto - 8 month layoff
Guerrero - 12 month layoff

3 of his last 5 fights are 1+ year layoffs

Cotto and DLH were not real LMWs. Floyd has never fought a real LMW and thats not a knock on Floyd there is no reason for him to fight guys much bigger than him.

I'll give you Cotto but Oscar was a real 154 and fought there for several years. He's also been at 160 twice. Plus he is nearly three inches taller than Mayweather.

Yes DLH fought at 154 and 160 doesn't mean he was actually that size. DLH is at best Berto's size and probable smaller than Ortiz.

Also the long layoffs catch up to you as you get older and lets not act like this was a normal layoff he spent time in jail.

Anyone one know of any places showing the fight in New Orleans?

Mayweather will handle Guerrero. It will probably go the distance though. The early rounds may be a little close but Mayweather will figure out the best way to break him down and Guerrero won't stand a chance after round 2

Obviously, this should be an easy win for Money Mayweather. Guerrero has never fought on this stage or someone of this level. That being said, I have a funny feeling about this fight. I imagine that feeling is derived from the fact that just about every hall of fame fighter loses a shocker when they enter their mid-30s.

I could easily see a TKO win by Guerrero in the 3rd or 4th with a rematch in the fall in which Mayweather avenges the loss with a decisive victory.

The beauty of a loss by Mayweather would also bring back into play a fight between Pac and Money...a fight that is completely off the table as we sit here today before this fight.

we've only got like 1-3 of these left.
He just signed a 6-fight contract with Showtime.

ETA: I see this has already been discussed.

None of which he used to his advantage in the Mayweather fight. . . Yes, I'm still mad about it.

But Mayweather is gonna cruise tomorrow. Just look at Guerreros resume....there is no one on there even half the fighter Mayweather is.

I think you have this one pegged. Guerrero will be aggressive early. But Floyd will make him pay. Floyd is getting up there and he has chosen to be more entertaining lately by trading shots, but he will beat guerrero up in this one.

My thoughts on this fight: It will be a snoozefest. As always, Guerrero will smother his opponent, and the referee will have to separate the fighters several times per round. He won't be able to get to Mayweather inside (not in the middle of the ring, at least), and he'll eat a lot of counters. Mayweather won't be as aggressive or make the fight as interesting as he did against Cotto (his most interesting fight in years, BTW); he doesn't want to take that much punishment again.

70% chance Mayweather by UD; 20% Mayweather by KO, possibly coming off one of the 100 breaks (May loves to sneak cheap punches during referee breaks); 10% Guerrero by KO. Guerrero would just have to catch Mayweather.

Great undercard, though! I'll be watching in a movie theater.

If by lately, you mean his previous fight, then yes. I doubt Mayweather does that again. He took much more punishment against Cotto than he's used to taking.

I've watched four of his last five fights, and I watched his fight with Klassen in person. That's more of him than you've watched, I expect.

Guerrero will have to land a few dirty elbows on the inside.

Some how I doubt that if you think Guerrero can "catch Mayweather" and win by KO..
