Not a bad quarterback, but just like USC, highly overrated.

I hate that an athlete has to act a "certain way" (if you know what I mean) for a NFL team, scout, or analyst to find them "non-threatening".

So it bothers you that a team owner with years of NFL experience would be slightly hesitant to hand over millions of dollars to a certain group of QB prospects with a limited history of success?

Not when discussing which is a better pro prospect. Boyd is entirely to careless for an NFL coach.

Lol, I love when cyber diarrhea like this goes unnnoticed. You think 33 TDs to 11 INTs is more careless than 36 TDs to 15 INTs? How about 68.0 completion percentage to 63.8?

I don't think there is any way Barkley should be the first QB taken in the draft or be a top 10 draft pick
I agree with this.

I disagree with this:

NFL bust in my opinion.

Don't count this kid out. Barkely is tough and is a good leader. And while he doesn't have a great arm by NFL standards, his arm is good enough to win in the NFL IMO.

He reminds me a lot of Billy Kilmer from back in the early days of the Saints. Barkley is not an elite proepect, but I think he can start and win in the NFL.

You don't believe Boyd is a better QB than Barkley?

wait, you're being serious?

Wait, you're not?

Passing yards per game:

-Boyd: 306.1
-Barkley: 297.5

Completion percentage:

-Boyd: 68.0%
-Barkley: 63.6%

TD-INT ratio:

-Boyd: 3-1
-Barkley: 2.5-1

Efficiency rating:

-Boyd: 172.73
-Barkley: 157.56

Total points responsible for per game:

-Boyd: 22.73 (Tops in the nation)
-Barkley: 20.36

And this is without factoring in Boyd's rushing abilities. So yes, without even an arguable doubt do I believe Boyd is substantially better than Barkley.

The is a direct correlation between Barkley's less-than-amazing season and Kiffin's coaching this year

Barkley looked like a much better QB last season because he had an NFL first-round LT protecting him. This as opposed to a true FR this season. It makes a bit of difference.

Damn this is a week QB class

Which is why Barkley came back. If he left after last year, he would have been no higher than the 3rd QB taken. Probably would have been 4th or lower.

With a good combine and pro day, he could still be the 1st QB this year. I think he could develop into a pretty decent NFL player, he just needs to go somewhere he won't be expected to start from day 1.

The one you're about to be rudely awakened to with Boyd's balls in your mouth Saturday night.

He's as good as advertised. But USC as a whole is overrated.....as usual.

This

USC would be a much worse team without him. He isn't the source of the teams problems. As far as I can tell, he is one of the few out there giving it 100%
