Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Fenix) won Strade Bianche after an intense battle between the biggest names in the sport on the dirt roads of Tuscany.

The Dutch champion then attacked and dropped them on the Via Santa Caterina climb into the heart Siena to win alone on the Piazza del Campo.

Great race with 3 riders hitting the final hill with 1k left to go. van der poel stood up halfway up the hill and gapped Anaphillipe by a good 50 meters in about a 100 meter stretch.

Do it! Spring classics are more exciting than the grand tours. Yep, I said it.

MvdP is my favorite rider ever. He just races so aggressively and seems to have fun.

I don't think that is a super controversial opinion, haha. Strade Bianchi, Flanders, and paris roubaix are the best race days all year. I also watch all the semi-classics

Take a look at these power numbers...wow
Power
ETA: this race was so entertaining and the young American Simmons really showed his quality before the flat.

Yep, I say it too. Give me Ardennes and the cobbles, but for this board fodder, the tour is better.
