Same with the word "racist"! If you are a bigot you are an idiot but there is nothing wrong with being racist.

This is pretty impressive by Mark Cuban. His method of addressing these issues of race would actually create improvement in our society if done on a grander scale. Personal accountability and training for self-improvement, while having open discussions about prejudice would be a huge improvement over the current method of PC nonsense, with underground racists only willing to speak openly about race in anonymity and then usually only in the most inflammatory way possible. We are all human and therefore fundamentally flawed. Suppressing major flaws does not cure the issues. Quite the opposite in fact, suppression usually leads to mounting frustration and the manifestation of explosive or violent incidents. Opening an honest dialogue about race in this country would be hugely beneficial. Probably won't see it in my life time though. But Mark's comments and honesty were refreshing.

this is stupid, the same black people criticizing Cuban are the same black people who would cross the street if they saw a black guy in a dark hoodie at night as well.

Cuban has done nothing or said nothing wrong here. These are human emotions, Cuban didnt say he wanted to stop the guy in the hoodie from voting or getting an education.

If I have an atm choice and on one side is a bunch of hoodies hanging and the other side has a bunch of people in suits looking like they are coming/going to work....who would honestly choose the hoodie side?

Being that ignorant or trying to prove how progressive you are is a great way to get robbed. I'm not looking over my shoulder at an ATM for business men.

while true sterotypes don't come from thin air. While they don't hold true for all it comes from somewhere. A hoodie in a bad area of town is more likely to cause a problem then a suit in a prominent part of town.

Well, now we know why the best player on the Mavericks has been a white guy all this time.

at least the guy in the hoodie will be honest and rob you to your face.

suit guy wrecks your portfolio to fuel his coke habit and then gets a bonus out of it.

There isn't, certain races are superior to others at certain things.

it is...he says he profiles people BASED ON THE COLOR OF THEIR SKIN.

Thats wrong. Silver and the NBA said so, already. In fact, it's so wrong, they are going to vote to remove another owner from his ownership.

The pandora's box is opened. Sterling will use this as a club if the NBA doesnt act.

It's time for everyone to admit that they are a little prejudiced/racist. Because everyone is, especially Asians and blacks. The truth is, nobody hates black people like other black people. Maybe Mexicans, idk.
