My comment was more about him saying it would be a shite show. It would actually cause less of a shite show because you don't have as many fans binge drinking outside or trying to sneak hard liquor in.

The problem is just with the student sections. Obviously, they wouldn't sell beer in the student section, but you can get to concession areas outside of that section if you are a student.

Obviously, kids are going to drink either way, whether it be inside or outside the stadium, inside the student section or outside of it.

I just imagine that it would increase liability for the school.

Wake Forest sells draft beer and wine in a beer garden overlooking an end zone. You can't go in the stadium seating but you can see the game from the bar.

What? I thought Wake was a Baptist school. You know better than that Deacons.

ETA: after researching I have found out that Wake has severed ties with the Southern Baptist. Carry on Deacs.

You can go to a Miami game and get in a fight with yourself.

Beer sales at the Orange Bowl really weren't as exciting as I thought they would be as a student. I don't remember ever buying more than 2 beers in a game. I agree with the WVU poster, I don't think the floodgates argument is realistic.

Just saying you are there to watch football. If you need beer, that is your problem. Universities don't need to profit off your problems.

Your assumed premise is that it's a "problem" if someone wants a beer at a football game, and that is indeed judging others by your own restrictive morals.

Would you be mad if other people ate potato chips if you were the one on a diet?

Half of the University of Texas' athletics department concessions revenue was related to alcohol sales. Edit: to put that in perspective, alcohol sales doubled previous concession revenue.

But I did tire of drunk people running over me, spilling their beer and getting up to piss three times a quarter.

I also wonder when the stadium cam that shows random people in the stands will stop, because they showed a lot of shitfaced people, including those who looked underage.
