add the fact that at least three of his picks came from deflections and you have an average joe LB.
2 of his INTS came against Michigan who threw for 5 ints in that game. Denard fricking sucks throwing.
Another INT off fresh making his first start last game. Meh.

Amazing how bad a year it is for dominate defensive players that this above average LB can become the most decorated college player of all time.
IKR.
Tyrann Mathieu last season had a far more impactful season against the most ranked opponents ever. His team was undefeated as well going into the heisman. He lead his team in tackles FROM THE CB position! (and he missed a game) He forced fumbles, had sacks, and scored defensive TDs. Something Te'o doesn't do. Look at this.
Teó
3 solo tackles against NAVY.
2 solo tackles against PURDUE.
3 solo tackles against MICHIGAN.
3 solo tackles against STANFORD.
1 solo tackle against BYU (LOL).
3 solo tackles against PITT.
3 solo tackles against Wake frickin Forrest.
3 solo tackles against USC.
0 forced fumbles, 1.5 sacks, maybe 5 pass deflections.
What a monster, right?
Man this guy is a GAME CHANGER right here. No he's not. He is a solid player, but he DOES NOT deserve the Heisman. His play is solid, but it does not wow me watching whatsoever. Manziel was the best player in the country this season and had his heisman moment against #1 Alabama in their yard. He has also passed former heisman winners Cam and Tebow in total SEC yards so he has the stats. Oh and don't give me he has 2 losses.. because Tebow had multiple losses in one of his heisman seasons. Griffin had 3 losses. Manziel had his team win 10 games, lost 2 games to top 5 teams and beat the #1 team in the country at their yard.. all while breaking into the new league as a freshman.
All this tells me is that Teo benefited from playing in a great defense against poor competition (IMO!) and getting in on a ton of gang tackling.. He had zero defensive TDs and about half his ints came of deflections. I mean really what exactly was so impressive here?

Te'o is a great LB. If you could have him on your team, you would. Jarvis Jones is also a great LB, but UGA isn't the platform ND is. It's an ascribed privileged status that some people just can't stomach.

2ints came vs Michgan
Yea, Manziel didn't pad his stats vs shitty teams.
horrible argument As far as most decorated player, that doesn't mean shite. AGAIN, every year is different. This year was devoid of major superstars of years passed, so he cleaned up. Being the most decorated doesn't mean anything. It doesn't mean he is the best. It means he won the most awards in a given year, where every year is different. Means nothing. People shouldn't be so insulted

This.
Not understanding why this is so amazing/upsetting to people.

Well of course. There's no denying this.. however if it's NFL I would rather other options in the first round tbh.

Manziel gave one of the greatest performances I've seen all season and I've watched a ton of college football.. against the #1 team AND at their house... and probably the best defense in the nation.

Luke Kuechly won it last year; no jimmies were rustled then.
Lol you dumb frick. Post Kuechly's stats and see if anyone thinks he didn't deserve every award he won.

Manziel is my winner.
I'm just saying to discount 2 INTs vs Michigan yet praise Manziel for his great numbers(much of what came vs bad teams) is hypocritical.

BTW. Mosley is awesome. Hope the Saints get him at OLB.

Probably most decorated for defensive player.
Which is kind of fricked up. I understand CFB is down this year, but Te'o isn't a top 5 LB of all time.

Post Kuechly's stats
Kuechly played on a poverty BC team, whose defenses were on the field nearly all game; the players surrounding Kuechly were also awful.
to the lay person, this means he had more opportunities to acquire stats; really simple stuff here.
BC has another LB in the top 3 in tackles this season. coincidence? i think not. pls go and read an elementary math book while you're at it, lmao

I hear ya. You are probably right. I just deep down expect Teo is going to win and I strongly disagree with that.
Another element is my strong dislike for ESPN pushing their agendas. I remember watching the games last Saturday and commentators being sure to pump him up and it wasn't even the ND game.
And I actually like Teó as a person. More so than the other guys I'm sure. But back to my main element and most important.. I just don't feel like he deserves the heisman. Period. He never once wow'ed me.

Riiiiiiiight. RG3 sucks because of what Nick Florence is doing this season right?
Have you seen what Kuechley is doing in the NFL? I'll never post on TD ever again if T'eo is 9 tackles short of the the league in tackles halfway through his rookie year. Will you do the same if he isn't?
T'eo is a good linebacker. The fact, however, that you think he's in Keuchly's area code is hysterical.
