As the great Alexi Lalas said "It takes a superior intellect to understand the beauty of the game"

A soccer announcer saying something like that? Shocking.

And didn't he say that while on the Colbert Report where he didn't quite get the satire?

But you can go to an MLB game for $20 in the outfield. Plus, there are barely any bad seats in the house at baseball stadiums. NBA games are more expensive

lol wut? there are just as many crappy seats in an MLB stadium as your average arena.

and I have been able to find $20 tickets for solid seats at MLB, NBA, NHL, and MLS games with little effort in multiple cities.

gayest statement on TD.com ever. And I've been around here a while

Clearly you haven't visited the soccer board. That's a 1/10 on the gay scale. In fact, it's so gay over there, we may need a bigger scale.

Wait, so you mean to tell me that the league with bigger stadiums had more fans in the games? Crazy
You think nba teams can put more fans in seats but are choosing to build smaller arenas?

NBA teams could build bigger stadiums but they know that they wouldn't get enough fans to fill them ... maybe.

they hardly fill them now, shite even the heat struggle.

MLS stadiums are really not that much bigger than NBA arenas in terms of seats

Exactly.

This is just a wild guess, but I also imagine if you went by ticket revenue, the NBA would be ahead as I'm guessing they have decidedly higher ticket prices.

And of course TV deals blah blah blah.

But I don't think any of that changes the original premise of the first post, that's pretty impressive that MLS can draw more fans than the NBA, no matter how you look at it.
