It sounds crazy but it may very well be headed to some version of that where it’s a “college” pro league. The only college aspect being the name and some other lose connections to the school
At least for football and basketball
But who really knows where this sport will be in the next decade. Most likely will look completely different

anyone dismissing this out of hand would’ve tried to fight you 10 years ago if you told them UCLA and Maryland were going to play a big 10 conference game
