It’s pretty dumb to think that LIV would’ve gone away and also not consider many other factors involved. I would definitely form my opinion on what a compulsive gambler and the NY post thinks

What? An investor that is already involved with the PGA tour saw the writing on the wall. Was willing to commit $500MM for 8 tournies that would be owned by him and the tour pros 50/50 and would partner with the tour. They said “anything not owned by the tour is considered hostile”. That is hubris and being very short sighted. Just 9 months later they are having to lay in the bed they made. That’s just how it is. They should have been transparent and they should have negotiated to partner with the players. Oh well.

I think I get it in a "cake and eat it too" way... But even then I still not seeing how that applies. What is it that the PGA tour is getting
Many are suggesting that the PGA can't compete. And if you are keeping up, my reply is, if you can't compete with all that money, do something else. Do what you always have done when competition beats at the door all these many decades. Embrace the competition, absorbed it. Do what you've always done.
Otherwise, if you genuinely feel the PGA can't compete, they are simply digging their own grave.

They have even aligned themselves up with the Saudi Internation tourney.
Did they? Or did they allow an exemption to certain players to play there but also get guarantees that those players would also play Pebble (opposite the Saudi event) x number of times over coming years...ie protecting the quality of their product

You have a knack for calling people dumb. Yet you are clearly ignorant to a lot of the issues on which you opine. You are acting just like the liberals you also call dumb. So much so you are even projecting.

More verbal hocus pocus? Yes, they aligned themselves up by "releasing" the top 10 and other PGA players for that particular tournament. Which by the way was offering prize money from the same blood-stained banks in Saudi.
It's just how hypocritical Jay Monahan wants to be before he realizes it's about the money with the players. Hey Jay, welcome to professional sports.

Well I do think you’re the dumbest bc you look at the simplest of scenarios without considering what could possible be ther factors

So why should anyone feel sorry for the PGA
So why should we feel sorry for the local store when Walmart comes to town.
Unlimited funds changes the dynamic
I still contend that Saudi deal is "transitory" ( seems to be the new "it" word) I don't think they really care about golf. And the Saudis are Greg Normans sugar daddy.... As soon as their is a regime change or a change of mood in Riyadh, then Greg is looking for corporate sponsorship ...and The LIV isn't handing out 100 million dollar contracts and the purse size adjusts as well

I hate to tell you.....LIV is only a 4 year deal, BUT betting on contracts from say..... FOX who is not a tool for the PGA. There is a market out there....PGA is foolish ignoring the independence of the players. They are destroying themselves.

What are you talking about? Hocus pocus??? It's been a long standing policy of the tour to allow for an exemption to certain events ( and getting concessions in return) so.. Players chose Saudi Arabia. The tour didn't send them a note saying "great choice" ...it was the players decision. ( And again.. Only certain players made the Saudi event list)

I didn't feel sad when Walmart came to town. It was nice to have a better selection and cheaper prices and not have to go all over town to do it.
And if LIV is indeed Walmart don't look for them to go gently into the night.

No one. not ONE can REFUTE how saudis and china are paying dollars to PGA and Euros. Bring it!

That's the point... Fox isn't going to pay the LIV what the Saudis are paying
Especially with a fractured market because the PGA tour isn't going away.. so if it does stick.. The players will be playing for basically the same as the PGA tour ( maybe more...maybe less)
If it doesn't stick and it either goes away or becomes a exhibition tour... Then the LIV players will lose out especially if the ban holds.

Well that's where the analogy ends. Walmart hasv to make a profit and can't just close up shop because their mood changes or a coup happened Walmart has investors

You keep saying this but do you have any proof of that besides Phil’s ramblings? Where is any report or proofs the players on the board don’t get access to financials
