So much of this kinda stuff is politically motivated nowadays. Someone on the Lakers called Mens Health and paid them to do this.

This is accurate. Huge article on ESPN worth reading about how dysfunctional things got and how they were alienating Dirk from the organization.

Do we know if this is actually Luka? It's not like Mens Health has swapped any spots star's body before or anything.

Luka looks good. Question is, a player who played with all that weight learned over years how to play with it. Bodying up opponents and other things. Sometimes a player changing weight and body so drastically can have bad outcomes as they have to adapt.
The way he shoots a jumper for instance. He is used to leveraging his weight to get to a shooting height now its different and can throw his shot release point off until he relearns. Hard to break years of habits he’ll have to make some big adjustments. In theory he will be more physical but how does that translate to his game. The way he drives ball and giving/taking contact too.
Will be interesting to see.

One of my favorite Thunder facts is that there has never been a season where OKC hasn’t had a former, current, or future MVP on the roster

Does this mean he'll play defense now?
