Not sure which is worse. Atlanta choosing trae over Luka or Lakers choosing lonzo over tatum.

Trae is still an All Star player.

Luka is always going to appear to have “no help”. He’s too ball dominant. Trae has the same problem. Can’t play off ball for shite.

Has a lot with nobody on his team be able to play with the ball worth a shite.

Last year there were 2 other guys who could handle the ball at all, Dinwiddie and Brunson. This year, there is Dinwiddie and now Kemba.

Finney Smith, Kleber, Hardaway Jr, Bullock, Bertas, Powell, McGee, Ntikilina, Green, Wood...none of those guys are ball handlers. So Luka kind of has to be ball dominant. The problem is that those other guys haven't been doing their jobs. Hardaway, Bullock, and Finney Smith are the biggest let downs. Hardaway is the streakiest player I've ever seen, and can shoot 70% or 7% on any given night, and he's gonna take 15 shots either way. He can shoot you out of a game or keep you in it and you never know what you're gonna get. The other two are supposed to be sitting in corners shooting low 40s on a regular basis, but instead they're in the low 30s.

I'm certainly no MFFL, but I catch a few games here and there.

That said, Luka is 23 years old and balling out of his mind.

If Cuban doesn't get him some real help soon, I could see him leaving Dallas - that would be an epic fail on the part of the organization.

I agree he is not the best in the league...yet.

Luka best player in NBA

RIP to Giannis, he must have died for Luka to gain this title.

Luka literally almost made the finals with absolutely nothing around him
Jokic has been just as deep in the playoffs as Luka.

Jokic won 48 games without his next best 2 players. If you're doing team stuff, 48 games and/or round 2 of the playoffs is what Luka would need to top or be even with Jokic.

But statistically Jokic is the better player.

Can argue Jokic, Giannis, Luka, or a healthy AD (with the way he’s played).
There is no argument for AD as the best player in the NBA.

Luka is at best 5th

Jokic Curry Tatum Embiid Giannis are better than him. Durant is still probably better than him too.

How does that not make this kid one of the best the NBA has to offer? And frankly, the skill level of Luka makes the Joker comparison very timely. Big-body guys who beat you with more skill than athletism. The Europeans have not only changed the offensive scheme of the NBA but are now producing the best all-around players in the league.
