are you saying non white players are not allowed to play? if you are, prove it; it you aren't you are full of shite and stupid too. just because you and blacks don't like the sport doesn't make it racist.

It's perfect for the trumpkins of the world who are scared of black football players.

speaking of racists. it's obvious that you are indeed a racist.

I've never seen a game of Lacrosse in my life but I've read it's origin was with the American indian. and never have seen the game makes me perfectly objective when I call you nothing but an ignorant hate filled racist. probably ready to bomb some building in Oklahoma city or something.

or maybe you are black and don't like white people having the right to play and fricking game they want to. maybe scared they won't invite you to play. because you're......................you know, stupid

I’d like to come here and hate on Lacrosse but I went to my Cousin’s high school game and it looked fun a hell. I found myself wishing we had it.

The best athletes still go to football baseball basketball, but that still leaves plenty of kids who can play sports. Lacrosse is more physical than soccer they can legally push people to the ground.

It's a great midfield logo on artificial turf too.

You are going to see a shift in the coming years.
HS varsity football has seen an 8% drop. That's not a small number & it's only going to het bigger as more concussion research comes out.

Huge game tomorrow night in the North District: Caddo Magnet @ Airline over at the Bossier Fields on Texas St.

Winner of this one will be in the driver's seat for who to expect to come out of the district in the final four.

Lacrosse is heating up as we head in to the final 3 weeks of the regular season.

Up North, Caddo Magnet controls their own destiny as they sit 2-0, 7-2 with a really interesting match up tonight against cross town rival C.E. Byrd 2-1, 6-3. The Yellow Jackets absolutely dominated the Loyola Flyers last week to jump into 2nd place in the North.
In lacrosse growth news up North, the Parkway Panthers earned their 1st & 2nd wins in program history.

In the West, Catholic High (BR) is quietly holding firm in a tie for 1st with STM (Lafayette) at 3-0, 8-6 while the Cougars are holding firm at 2-0, 7-4. Do not let those 4 losses from STM fool anyone as those L's come from 3 Houston area top teams + defending LA state champ St. Paul's.

Down South, district play is about to get very interesting as each of the 4 teams have played just 1 district game each to date. Jesuit seems to be everyone's "sure" pick to remain up top (1-0, 5-5) in an effort to contend to land them in the 2018 Final 4 (hosted by STM april 28 + 29).

In the East district, powerhouse St. Paul's is leading the race at 3-0, 8-0. However, the Wolves have not played anyone outside of LHSLL play & just 1 team out of the North District by way of Airline who is currently sitting at 4th place in their district. Ocean Springs is holding strong in the #2 spot in the East district & shows a lot of promise for developing into a sneaky program with lots of growing potential on their young roster.

Big Games this week:
Tuesday Byrd vs. Caddo 6pm @ Lee Hedges
Thursday Loyola vs. Airline 7pm @ Bossier Fields
Friday Catholic BR vs. STM 7pm @ STM.

Not comparing it to football, but the interesting thing about lacrosse is it offers the highest % of opportunities for high school athletes. Its over 13% for both Boys and Girls, with a lot more scholarships for girls because there are more D1 & D2 women's' teams

Here's a good breakdown

You are correct. And at the D3 level, there are boatloads of academic scholarship dollars.

To a degree, yes. But D3 programs work to package the academic schollys + grants to be very lucrative.
Some schools offer as much as $20,000+ per year in academic scholarships.

The funny thing is, the only lacrosse players I know by name are Jim Thorpe and Jim Brown

Things are heating up in district play.

STM took down west district contender Catholic High on Friday night, basically securing them the 1 seed as they work toward district playoffs.

Up north, Caddo remains up top. Airline took down Parkway tonight in the "Battle for Bossier" by a final of 16-3 (I believe). The 2-4 seeds are still very much in limbo with games left to be played & goal differential being a huge seeding factor.

Caddo Magnet fell to Loyola yesterday in their regular season finale, 11-6, which awarded the North Distrit Championship & #1 district playoff seed to the Flyers. Caddo falls to the 2 seed after almost completing an undefeated 2018 regular season.
Tonight Airline + Capt. Shreve battle in their weather rescheduled finale in a win or go home match up.
C.E. Byrd is in but awaits tonight's results to find out if they are the 3 or 4 seed.
