That College Football Final in the early 2000’s was gold wirh Mark May and Holtz.
I was in HS and would look forward to the end of Saturday late nights in the fall to watch that show.
The courtroom segment had me rolling sometimes.

nothing would beat watching games all day, coming back from a game or from tailgating, and ending the day with College Football Final.

Never forget that Lou tried to warn us about Brian Kelly
RIP Lou.
RIP Lou.

I love the video of him grabbing his player by the facemask.
Like others, I loved watching him, Mark, and Rece over and over Saturday into Sunday morning.
RIP

RIP. All time great. Part of me now wishes he’d have got to see the Irish whip Ohio states arse in the title game a year ago.

dang man, I hate to hear that.
I was at one of his more infamous games that he ever coached
the Cheerios bowl between Notre Dame and Florida the sugar bowl

One of the best motivational speakers. Especially before his later years.

A great great college coach. His Arkansas teams upset of Oklahoma in the Orange bowl was legendary.. Roland Sales for the win.. RIP.

We didn’t know how good we had it when he was still going strong at ESPN when it comes to college football.

The foundation of Monte Kiffin’s “Tampa-2” defense was laid during the Lou Holtz regime at Arkansas, specifically that 1977-78 season.
Monte Kiffin and Pete Carroll first coached together in Fayetteville on that staff, and their relationship and defensive philosophies would eventually change defensive football on both the collegiate and professional level.
It would take 20-30 years, but both credit those days on Lou Holtz’s staff in the late 70’s as extremely influential.

Indeed. I don’t usually get too upset by a celebrity or famous person dying, but this one stings even though there’s no personal relationship with him.
Just a genuine person with a seemingly endless love for people and wanting to see them make the best of themselves. Great coach and motivational speaker.
This one really sucks.
